Q stared out his window into the darkness and mulled over what Madison said. How ironic that she possessed no idea just how much he knew about what their government did. And what their government wouldn't want anyone to know about. Things he couldn't tell her. But he had wanted her to spill it all. He'd wanted her to trust him enough to go against her training. As much as he knew that was wrong, had been trained the same way, he still wanted her to care about him more than the mission. He knew just how unfair that was. A soft knock startled him. Madison opened the door before he could move. He only had one lamp on in the room and she stood just at the edge of the circle of light it threw. Turning to her, he put his hands in his pockets.
