I stood there checking whether there was anyone coming but there wasn't.
It was like someone had arranged so that Johan would be alone when Dillan attacked.
I wondered if the security in the palace was so lax in such a way that Dillan could come all that way without being noticed.
And, where was Johan’s beta?
Wasn't he supposed to be by his king's side at all times?
And what was with the palace being so quiet at such an early evening hour?
And did these people never watch over Dillan?
Was Johan as naive as to think that Dillan would just let everything go after seeing what happened to his father?
