Chapter 11

Smiling, the woman named Blue hugged both Zax and Violet tight and messed their hairs as soon as she put them down.

"You knuckleheads, I was looking all over for you two. Why did you not call me?!" she complained pouting

"Cause there is no need to call you. I can handle both of us just fine." Violet sighed and she laughed

"Still the usual Violet. So cold.” She booped her nose and kissed zax’s forehead “You sneaky brat, I thought you were in your room the whole time.”

Zax chuckled, “I got that idea from, Talia.”

Violet chuckled in amusement as her brother and messed his hair before turning to Blue "You found us already, you can leave now. “

"It is my day off and I want to visit my little sister. I will also visit Tyler at the Headquarters later." She explained and smiled at them

“Oh can it. It’s just your excuse to see that—” Blue pinched her lips together to stop her from talking

“I’ll leave, just shh.” She placed a finger over her own lips and chuckled nervously “Bye for now little ones.”

Violet pulled her face away from her and smirked victoriously :Just get out.”

“Call me when you’re planning to take Zax home.” Blue winked and walked out the door

Violet sighed and fell back on the sleeping bag on the floor. Zax was saying something to her, but she was unable to make out any words coming out of his mouth. For some reason she was frustrated and slowly drifted back to sleep.

She opened her eyes and saw that she was in a large wood factory. It's scary because only the moon was the source of light from where she stood. Violet saw a man kneeling in front of her so she took a few stepbacks in fear. He looked bruised and weak. A pool of blood surrounds him as he vomits blood. Violet saw herself close to him. Wait what's going on? Why do I see myself?

The man raised his head and she could see his face. She stopped breathing in shock. It's Mio caro. Violet watched as her other self cried as she looked at the man's condition. She approached the man and laid him on her thigh. They both had bruises and wounds. Violet wanted to approach them but it’s as if they were moving away every step she took, she ran but they moved even further. Unconsciously, she stepped on a black puddle of some sort and was slowly swallowed in 

She continued to try to get out, but nothing worked. Her chest tightened as if she couldn’t breathe—then darkness completely consumed her.

"Help!" she shouted and jolted awake, clutching her head

Zax looked at her with worry as he was kneeling beside her. She guessed he was trying to wake her up.

"Are you okay violet?" Glaze asked, but she ignored that 

She just stood up and went straight to the bathroom and quickly washed her face several times before staring at her reflection in the mirror. “The nightmares are coming back.”

Shaking her head, she took in a deep breath and was about to walk completely out the bathroom when she saw Glaze sitting on the foot of the bed, leaning back with his arms as support.

“What?” She frowned at him

He sighed “Well you don’t seem alright. I was just about to tell you that you Caro agreed to meet up at the coffee shop nearby. It’s the only shop near the school so I don’t think you’ll have a hard time looking for it.”

Her ears perked up “What?”

Glaze smiled “I said—”

“I heard you the first time.” She said, waving her hand dismissively “What I’m asking is why are you still here? Give me time to dress up! Come on! Move!”

She heard his laughs and chuckles at her remark as she dragged him to the door and pushed him out before closing it.

“Oh I have to dress well.” She said to herself before digging into her luggage

Violet really didn’t have anything in mind so she put on a simple white shirt and sky blue sweatpants. She looked in the mirror and saw her short black hair was a mess, she sighed and shrugged it off as she went to check her footwear—sneakers, that’s all she has anyways. 

When she finally came out, Glaze was not there but Zax was there playing with Ash.

"Zax, where’s the dickhead?" She asked

"He said he would leave first because head business with his gang." he replied but chortled “he was spraying perfume on himself though so I guess he would meet up with her girlfriend.”

A girlfriend? She chuckled to herself. Wow, a girl still likes that weirdo?

“Oh, by the way, he told me to give this to you." Zax said and handed me the car keys

She blinked for a few times as she stared at it “This is his car keys, right?”

Zax nodded “he said to let you use it since he was picked up by a friend of his.”

Violet smiled and shrugged “Alright. I’ll drop you off to Aera’s. I can’t leave you alone, Blue will kill me.”

Her younger brother nodded so they made their way out of Glaze’s dorm and ash followed. Violet locked the door and they walked down the hall to Aera’s dorm. Then she knocked on the dorm that quickly swung open.

"Hey, Nyx!" Aera greeted "Oh! Hi, Zax!"

"Aera, Can you do me a favor and take care of Zax for a few hours?" She asked “I have a… business to attend to.”

Zax smiled and mounted. A date.

Aera grinned widely and grabbed Zax by the shoulder and pulled him inside.

"We'll take care of Zax. Go take care of your business." She teased before closing the door

Violet continued to make her way to the parking lot and saw there were not many but still a lot of cars there. She sighed and clicked the button and a car lit up. She chuckled and jogged to it. She was in awe to see a black lamborghini.

“Your owner must be filthy rich.” She chuckled to Ash who just barked at her

She opened the door and let Ash jump in first before her.

Ash and Violet rode in the Black Lamborghini and drove  out of the school looking for the Coffee shop closest to the school. MoonCafe. She parked the car outside and got out of the car.

Violet was with Ash and he looked at her as if asking. There is no sign that no pets are allowed so they simply entered the place. We entered and there were not too many people, there were lovers at the end of the room, there was an old woman near the counter, Mother and daughter near the Door, but what grabbed my attention was the man sitting alone in the middle, Black messy hair, and wore a long sleeve dark green polo shirt and black pants, and has white nike shoes.

Her heart began to beat wildly as she slowly approached him. His side profile is stunning.

She was just a few feet away from him when he whipped his head around to her direction. She froze.

"H-Hi?" Violet stammered, but he ignored that and immediately hugged her tightly

"I've been waiting for you to comeback" he whispered 

Violet’s hands moved involuntarily and hugged him back. She leaned on his shoulder and inhaled his scent. Tangy hint of mint. He is a lot taller than her, but he was crouched to reach her shoulder, making it easier for her to reach his.

After a few more seconds like that, he finally let her go and pulled a chair for her. Violet smiled sweetly and sat, thanking him. That’s when she realized that there were desserts prepared on their table. It was a little awkward for her since she didn’t know how to start conversations at all.

"You know…” She turned to look at him when he paused and scoffed “I've been waiting for this moment. I heard from Glaze about the news and honestly—I didn’t believe him at first.” He looked at her “What exactly happened?”

“Well… It’s a really complicated thing and I don’t think it’s safe to explain it here.” She laughed awkwardly

So he simply took both her hands and raised them to his lips before saying “It’s alright, I don’t wanna rush you into things nor force you into telling me secrets like you used to. I’m just glad you’re back. I miss you so much, Cara mia.”

I don't know but I'm thrilled. Violet thought to herself.

That’s basically how her Saturday went. They both spent hours in the cafe telling stories about themselves. She was actually surprised by the memories he shared to her that she still hadn’t had a chance to remember. They shared the Chocolate cake because he said he knew Violet would never finish it—he was right. She gave Ash a cookie since he was behaving, laying near her foot. 

Violet took that time to admire the man she called Mio caro—who she learnt was named Felix.

Am I really that lucky to have a guy waiting for me for so long?

When he realized she was staring at him, he also looked but stopped laughing. She raised a brow and he put his finger to my lips. He wiped the edge and laughed.

"You really eat like a kid" he laughed jokingly and ate the chocolate on his finger

What did I do to make you treat me like this?!

"Felix, what school do you go to?" Violet asked

"At Winston’s. It’s nearest to m home." he replied with the sweetest smile she could ever think of

"Too bad." She sighed in disappointment

But then he held her chin and kissed her forehead. As he slowly back away, she heard him say "I am so lucky because I fell for you" 

Felix offered to take her back to school and he parked Glaze’s car in the parking lot as soon as they got there. Violet looked at him when they both got out and she couldn't stop smiling.

I feel like an idiot.

He approached Violet, chuckled as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

"I will visit you here every day. I will tell Glaze to keep an eye on you." Said Felix and Ash suddenly moaned and stepped aside from me "but I think this little fella here does a better job.”

He stroked Ash's head and smiled at Violet who chuckled at his claim. Felix stood up and dared to pull her closed as his other hand raised to cup her cheek.

"Good night." he said and softly pressed his lips to hers

Violet wrapped her hands around his neck and closed her eyes. She had to stand on her tippy toes because of her cursed height. Once he pulled away, he pressed their foreheads together and grinned.

"I've waited a long time to do that," he said and hugged me for the last time "Good night, Cara mia. Be careful."

He said goodbye before leaving. When she saw he was gone from her sight—I squealed, of course. Violet danced in the hallway and knocked on Aera's door. 

"How is the date?" Kora asked

"It's okay." She said, dreamily "Are we going for a walk tomorrow? With Tyler?"

She knew she had to avoid the question first—it’ll be an earful if she didn’t—but they agreed. And worse? Aera even invited Glaze. But her thoughts were bouncing around the place  so she didn’t mind.

Zax and Ash and Violet were already walking back to the dorm—but to her delight, she immediately guided Zax and waltzed around with him.

"Talia? Are you okay?" He asked, but still found her sister’s actions funny and unusual

"Yes." She answered in a sing-song tone. She finally let go of Zax so she was the one dancing while Ash stood beside Ash

"Oh Ate Watch out--"

Suddenly, she stumbled on her own foot and was about to fall back when someone caught her just in time. She’s now staring at a face who has a dangerous pair of eyes and is smiling.

"Dude. Wake up already, You are not in dreamland" Glaze shook his head and helped her back on her feet

She just stared at him and Ash and Zax approached them.

"How's the date?" He asked as they walked side by side

"The best." She said, still in a dream like state "How about you? How's Girlfriend?"

He shrugged "Still the usual. She’s really childish at most times but it’s cute.”

"Really? You're thrilled, aren’t you?" Violet teased but he just stared at her but I could see the joy in him

They finally got to the dorm so she jumped on the bed. The others also changed their clothes, of course her face was covered with a pillow since she didn’t want a repeat of what had happened earlier. When she heard the door close she got up and put on a big white shirt and black pajamas. She then left the room and sat on the sofa as they watched TV.

For the most part, Violet wasn’t really paying attention to the movie. Her mind was replaying the scene at the parking lot over and over again.

I can now die a happy Lady.
