Fiona couldn't squeeze a single word out if her life depended on it. George nodded at me to spill the story. I'd had no intention of saying anything at first, but he leaned in and whispered three words in my ear, "One and done." I set my jaw, gritted my teeth, and spilled every last detail, one by one. All seven of those guys were stunned stupid. Their faces drained of color so fast they looked paler than Fiona herself. Henry looked especially wrecked, like he was kicking himself nonstop for how he'd treated me before. My fourth ex's eyes were red-rimmed, like he was kicking himself for being stupidly overconfident in his own smarts that he hadn't even recognized me. He looked absolutely gutted. James didn't even get a chance to open his mouth. George slugged him hard in the chest
