1410 Words
Three years later Julian's pov "Boss! We just got a report that a woman who fits the description of the lady you have been searching for was spotted at the airport with two identical children who look like you!" My assistant reported. I stood up instantly from my chair. "Let's go there now!" I ordered. My assistant shot me a puzzled glance. "What is it Javis?" I asked as I put on my jacket ready to leave. "Sir, why don't we wait and confirm who she is before you go see her," Javis suggested. I gave him a death stare as I walked out of the company towards the waiting car. I have been looking for her for the past three years after our one night stand and I could not find her and now finally I get to see her. "Drive as fast as you can! I don't want to lose her." I said to the driver. "Again," I said quietly to myself. My plan was to get married to her immediately. "Sir!" The guards that Javis had stationed at the airport to watch her run toward us the moment he saw me. "Where is she?!" I demanded impatience. "Sir, she was right in front of us but..." The guard stuttered. "But what?!" I half yelled n "But we lost her among the crowds, it was as if she changed her looks." The guard explained. If not for self-control, I swear, I would have tossed the guard on the floor of the airport. It would only cause a few scandals and Javis would die down immediately with a few dollars. "Boss! Please try to be calm." Javis pleaded with me as he came between the guard and me. "I'm trying to be calm here Javis but if in one week I don't hear anything about her whereabouts, you all will suffer my wrath." I threatened as I stormed back into the car. I watched as Jarvis gave instructions to the guards and they all dispersed. On our way back to the company, I closed my eyes as I let my mind wander back to that day three years ago. I had opened my eyes and I was greeted by the space in the bed. I cleaned my eyes with a groan trying to find her but then the realization hit me like a rock. She was gone and there was no way to even find her. I flopped back on the bed and I was met with her warm fragrance which caused me to smile, She smelled like fresh roses. Yesterday I was grateful I talked up to her after spending three hours watching her drown in booze. One look at her and one could tell she was having it rough, I watched her with empathy. The more I gazed upon her the more I felt more drawn. It was as if a strong magnetic force was pooling me towards her and I couldn't resist. When I finally summoned the courage to talk to her I saw a ring on her finger. With a shattered heart, I dropped back on the seat. I was about to leave the bar when I saw her toss the ring away. My heart leaped with joy. The next minute I was next to her trying to start a conversation with her but she wasn't interested. I pressed on and when I saw that an opportunity I got greedy and took it. I was tipsy but there was no way I could blame the alcohol for that wonderful night. After having a taste of what having her by his side felt like there was no way I was ever going to let her go. "Where are you." I sighed. After the death of my parents, I spent my entire life growing up having nightmares every night. Last night was the most peaceful night I had ever had. I didn't even get to catch her name but I am determined to find my peace. I was still on my bed when my assistant Jarvis rushed into the room. "Master Julian where have you been your grandma has been worried sick." He said panting. I smirked crossing my legs against each other with my back against the bed stand. "Jarvis why do you decide to be such a nag," I said to him. "Master Julian..." His voice trailed off. "Jarvis I'm fine as you can see so please don't yell." I smiled and then turned to him "Sometimes I wonder if you are worse than my grandmother." "Master Julian this is no time for a joke. Your grandmother is really angry that you didn't meet the girl she prepared for you at the blind date yesterday." Jarvis complained. Even though I've told my grandmother countless times that I was not interested in settling down it didn't stop her from setting me up with rich ladies. No Sometimes I just force myself to attend the blind date as a way to amuse myself and also to keep my grandmother happy. After the death of my parents, she took me under her wing and raised me so she is my mom and my dad combined and I love her with all my heart. "The girl didn't show up yesterday so how is it my fault," I said rolling my eyes. "The girl didn't show up yesterday because you missed the address and you went to the wrong venue. Besides, why would I station your blind date in a club." Jarvis explains to Julian. "Oh... I see." Julian pursed his lips. When I heard Jarvis it finally made sense. I was supposed to meet my blind date at the bar which was weird because all the past blind dates were done in a luxurious suite. "You should hurry home and apologize to your grandmother because she thinks you intentionally ditched the blind date," Jarvis said. "I'm glad I did the mix else I wouldn't be able to meet her," I muttered with her face implanted in my memory. "Who?" Jarvis asked in confusion. "My peace." I replied, "I need you to help me find her." I added. I could tell Jarvis was lost but he held a stern gaze. Jarvis was in his mid-thirties but he was able to relate with me as my assistant and we had a good relationship. "Take me home, I don't feel like going back to the office again," I instructed the driver. Now it was already five days since she was last seen at the airport and still no news about her whereabouts. I was pissed at Jarvis and kept giving him the cold shoulder. When we got to the company that morning, I strode inside and Jarvis followed me closely. I crashed on the chair in my office and Jarvis came inside, gently closing the door behind him. "If you don't have news about her then I suggest you leave." I sighed pressing on the side of my head. "Sir, I know you're eager to find it you cannot neglect your duty as the CEO of the company. Your grandma will not be pleased." Jarvis explained. I closed my eyes with a frown on my face, hoping he would stop pestering me because all I wanted was to find her. Even though it had already been three years her face was still implanted in my memory and no matter how I tried to shake it off I couldn't. "Your grandmother has refused treatment until you bring her a daughter-in-law." Jarvis broke the news. "What? Why would she.." "It's the only way she can use so you can get married as soon as possible," Jarvis replied. I rubbed on my temples, this woman knew I had a soft spot for her and she always used it to blackmail me. If only I'm able to find her getting married won't be a problem. "Tell her I'll bring her daughter-in-law this weekend and she should please start receiving her treatment," I said to Jarvis. "Yes sir." He replied. He was about to Walk away when I called him back. "Send in the applicants for their interviews," I said when I saw the file of paper on my desk. Jarvis gave a nod and closed the door after him. I was still flipping through the profiles of the applicants when I heard a voice. "Good morning sir I'm Ariana Coleson." She said, flashing a smile. ***
