“You can return to work tomorrow. Be punctual, you should be there by 9.” Receiving that call from my manager was the silver lining at the end of the tunnel for me as I jumped around and rolled in bed with excitement. I was sure that Lucien must have realized he was wrong and wanted me back because there was just no model as good as I was. That was the fact. I couldn't wait for the day to end. And when it finally did, I could barely sleep because I was buzzing with excitement. As soon as my alarm rang, I was up, flying to the bathroom like my pants were on fire. Then I took my time to make sure I looked great while returning to the company again. I couldn't help but notice how people stared at me weirdly on my way to work and it made me so uncomfortable. I didn't even do anything wrong. Regardless, I sucked in a sharp breath and made my way into the company, smiling at those who didn't smile at me. I waved at others who stared at me blankly until I was in the elevator. “Hopefully everything will settle soon.” I whispered to myself while taking deep breaths in and out. The door finally opened and I was surprised to see my manager standing there like he had been waiting for me. “Follow me, we have a public board meeting going on right now.” He said as he walked towards the meeting room and I immediately followed after him. Walking into the meeting room where everyone was already seated made me feel like I had walked into a courtroom. My manager told me to be here by 9. It's just 8:30 and they looked like they'd completed the meetings. Fuck. I took a seat anyway and made myself comfortable before realizing that Lucien was staring right at me, unblinking. “Are employees always allowed to be this late?” He questioned, making the presenter shut up and I swallowed nervously. “My apologies, Sir, I was told that the meeting was by—” “Your explanations are useless.” He cut me off and I had to bite down on my tongue hard. “Do you know why you're back here?” I already loathed this man with everything in me but I tried to remain professional as I nodded. “Because I'm good at what I do and the company needs me.” I replied calmly and he sat up, his gaze softening as he chuckled in amusement. “Oh, he's got pride. I like it.” Lucien said, obviously humored by my words. “Fortunately, that's not why you're here.” His voice became cold once again and my heart rate picked up. “Fortunately?” “Yes. Fortunately for Aurelius Luxe.” He relaxed into his chair again. “Show us the proof once again please.” He gestured to the lady standing by the projector. My heart sank when I saw images of me walking into hotels and homes with different men of high status. Not just one but multiple images. And they didn't stop. Some even had images of me posing sexily on the bed. Naked. I shot up from my seat immediately, shaking my head in despair. “That is all wrong. That isn't me, I wouldn't do anything like that.” I muttered shakily but Lucien simply scoffed while the other employees whispered to themselves. “That isn't you? Or you've gone blind? What about the transactions then? The huge amount of money you received from your sugar daddies? You lie about how you got to your position fair and square but you actually sleep around for job offers.” He placed his hands on the table as his questions hit me like bullets. “What money? What lies?” I asked in confusion, and my eyes widened when I saw different transactions with millions of dollars, all having my name on them. “Can't defend yourself anymore?” “None of these is true! I promise, I would never do anything like this. I would never sell my body. I got to this position fair and square! Through my hard work and talents! You can't believe those pictures, please.” I pleaded, already so close to losing my mind and Lucien let out an amused sigh as he got up. I didn't even know this guy. What would he gain by ruining my life with fake evidence? What did I do to him? “You do know that this is being streamed publicly, right?” He asked as he stood in front of me and I froze. “There's no need to hide your promiscuous nature. It won't do you any good. “But I'm telling the truth!” I yelled in exasperation. “Those photos were probably edited, they're fake. I'm innocent, I promise.” “Alright then. If you say you're innocent, then you're innocent.” He said as he returned to his chair and I heaved out a sigh of relief. “But you're fired.” “What?” I asked in horror as my blood drained from my face. “You're firing me?” “Would you like me to repeat myself?” He asked in annoyance as he turned to me. “You're hereby banned from returning to Aurelius Luxe. Pack your stuff and leave. Immediately. Or I'll have security throw you out. Unless you want me to actually sue you in court for damaging our reputation.” The worst part about everything was that he wasn't joking. I was indeed fired. My things had already been arranged for me to pack and leave. I tried to beg but just like he threatened, security grabbed me and threw me out like I was nothing. Like I didn't bring this company lots of money. They kicked me out based on false claims and my manager couldn't do anything. Ethan probably knew about this and didn't tell me. Just when I thought my life was ruined, it got worse. Photos of my “promiscuous lifestyle” spread widely across the internet, and I was being tagged as the model w***e who sold his ass for gigs. Life got more humiliating. I suspected that Adrian had something to do with this but every time I called him, he declined my calls. I couldn't even visit his house without getting kicked out by security. Of course, he didn't want to be near a model w***e. My downfall was indeed the thrill of many. Weeks passed and no one wanted to hire a model w***e. That was when I knew that if I wanted to get back on my feet again, I had to leave not just the city, but the country. So I packed my things that night and waited for it to get very dark before making my way to the airport. I already booked an early morning flight and I hoped that no one would recognize me on my way out. I was already far away from the city and hopefully safe. I was just nearing the airport and ready to make a U-turn when a truck came out of the corner and slammed right into my car. The car tumbled down the road, and I went numb for a whole minute before coming to terms with the fact that I was dying. And I was stuck. I couldn't get out. I could smell gasoline but I couldn't move. Maybe death was actually better at this point. So when the darkness began to engulf me, I let it take me. And then I made a wish. I was going to take revenge on the man that ruined me. I was going to make sure Lucien Beaumont regretted every moment of his life, for as long as I lived. If I lived...
