But even though I couldn't see Margo, the memory of her figure and the alluring look she'd given me earlier rekindled my desire. I slowly lifted my right hand, which had been propping me up, from the skin of Margo's arm.
Even just this much was enough; I was afraid, afraid of waking her.
I don't know how long I stayed like that, lost in thought... Time slipped by unnoticed.
Just when I thought Margo wouldn't wake up...
The sound of an animal running came from outside!!!
It startled me... Partly because I was afraid Margo would suddenly wake up and slap me like Su Ya had, and partly because of the commotion outside.
Inside the tree hollow, although I couldn't see if Margo had moved, at least she hadn't made a sound. She probably hadn't woken up...
