Chapter -23

" If you want to kill me, just do it . But don't ask me these questions. You guys can't understand my sufferings ", Bindhu replied and left the place.

" Ravana ! Raj asked you to come to the dilapidated temple ", Murugan informed to Ravanan and Ravanan went to the place where they discussed about their next plan.

**At the third village **

The next day, Ragav entered the tent of Bala to check his condition where Bala was eating banana and criticising Laksman who sat near him. Ragav enquired about his condition for which Bala jumped up and down joyfully as a reply. "Sorry sir! We let him slip out of our hands. I feel very ashamed and frustrated ",Laksman said to Ragav in a saddened tone. Ragav patted their shoulders and asked them to get ready. Laksman stood briskly and took his gun from his bag while Bala threw away the skin of banana and jumped out of the tent.

" From here we will split into three team one team will be guided by myself ,next one is by Sundar(one of the officers) and the last team will be guided by Bala. Now they must have got alert. They might be headed to any one of their village or even somewhere else in the forest. There is no we can find if we move like this. So I have decided to use the divide and conquer tactic. The three team will raid totally six villages. If we do this correctly, we can capture them within two or three days. Keep me updated with the satellite phone which has a standby of 3 days and that will be sufficient for us. Until we return Laksman will take the charge and take care of everything. Bala has drawn the rough outline of the forest. Everyone memorize the map thoroughly or else you might end up in trouble. If you find Ravanan or Bindhu , call me immediately to the rest of the team and we will come to your support in no time.... and never forget whom we are against. I have understood catching him won't be a piece of cake as I thought. He knew everything well about his forest and we are trying to hunt a tiger inside it's own dark cave. Even a single mistake, you guys will be completely wiped out in an instant so be careful on your way. Can you make it guys ?", Ragav as the officers for which the officers stood straight in an attention pose as a reply.

The police officers loaded their backpacks with full of ammunitions , weapons and other things. The team split up and walked in the deep and endless forest. While Laksman stayed there to command the remaining and injured officers.

The three teams were assigned to return to their base within three days. They were ordered to investigate totally six remaining villages and return to their base. The team of Sundar assigned with the fourth and fifth village while the team of Bala were assigned with the sixth and seventh village and finally Ragav destined to the last two villages.

The teams reached their spots at the evening and ambushed the fourth, sixth and eighth village at the same time which were located at different directions from their base third village.

Sundar brought the village under his control as he entered the place within a couple of minute. He commanded his men to bring all the people of the village and asked the rest of the officers to raid their crude in search of any clues. He investigated about the arrival of Ravanan and his men. The team had searched entirely all over the village and there wasn't any clue about Ravanan. The crew updated Ragav and moved to their next village.

At the same time Bala entered on the sixth village . The people at the sixth village spoke friendly with all the officers. As soon as they saw Bala in the groups a group of weird looking old men with a spear in their hands rushed towards him and hugged him as if he was one of them. Bala knew most of the tribes in the forest and had a friendly relationship with everyone. One officer raised his over and asked the old man where Ravanan and his crew were in a commanding tone. Bala and the rest of the people stared at him . He became irritated and pointed his gun towards the old man's face and the repeated the same question. The old man leaned his back on the tree and laughed at him and the rest of the people continued to laugh with him while some of the tribal people took out their spears and waited for the old man's order to soak their weapons in blood.
