Music blared from the walls, and the entire hall was on its feet, dancing as the coronation ceremony swept us into a whirlwind of celebrations that left me lightheaded from the wine and excitement of it all.
By the time the clock struck midnight, the party was still going strong, with no one looking like they were about to go to bed.
