The atmosphere had been weird ever since Nadia’s father and her brother, Alex, had returned. The pack had been informed about the main points before the summit. Most members of a pack from Oregon had been found dead and the culprits were strong and dangerous, but that was it. How the pack had died or who exactly these culprits were, were not said. Nadia had expected to learn more when they returned, but that didn’t happen. Her father was, as he almost always was, very closed off about the whole ordeal, but Alex was usually more open about things. However, it was different this time. Alex had intentionally dodged all of his siblings, which disheartened Nadia a bit. Alex always told Nadia about his trips and to make matters worse, she had turned eighteen
