Chapter 5

I woke up and I saw the sun shinning in through the window and I smiled. I tried to stretch, key work tried. There was something holding my arm down. I rolled over and I saw Dean peacefully sleeping next to me, his arm was draped over my shoulder. He has such a soft face when he is sleeping. It wasn't the serious look he normally had. I finished rolling over so that I was fully facing him. I brushed the hair off of his face. He opened his eyes and smiled at me. He gently kissed me on the forehead and I smiled. He pulled me into a hug and took a deep breath. Then he finally spoke. "Good morning Amore." He said in his husky morning voice. "Good morning Dean. How did you sleep?" I blushed. "The best I've ever slept." He said while nuzzling my head. "Will you move your arm, I have to go pee." I said while crossing my legs and giving him a pleading look. "Hmm... I dont know about that." He smirked. He rolled over so that he was on top of me and smirked. He slowly sat up and brought his hands to my sides. I shook my head saying no, but he just laughed and started to tickle me. Not letting up in the slightest. "Dean! St-stop!" I cried out, laughing. "But you like it Amore?" He laughed out. "I'm gonna pee on you and your bed if you don't let me up!" I screeched. "Okay, okay!" He said while letting me sit up and I ran into the bathroom. I did my business and washed my hands. I brushed my hair and teeth. Then I went back into the bedroom. I saw him sitting on the edge of the bed facing away from me, but I could see that he was tense. I walked over and gently put my hand on his back and he went stiff. He looked up at me and then softened. "Hey, are you okay?" I whispered. "Yeah, I just found out some news that I wished I hadn't." "What was it?" I kneeled down in front of him, taking his hands in mine. "Yesterday was an attempt to kidnap you. They were trying to take you away from me." He growled out and I stiffened. "Why-why would they want me?" I whispered out. "I don't know, but one of the rogues that we captured said that you were special." "Did he say why I was special?" I asked nervously. "No, he just said someone named Hunter wanted you for him. That you would make him stronger." He frowned. "Oh." So he really was looking for me, I thought to myself. "You should tell Dean about us and that he is your uncle..." Emerald said to me through our mind-link. "I will just not yet. This is still all so new to me and it still makes me nervous. I feel like the fewer people that know the better. Plus, I don't want to put him in harms way." I told her and she agreed. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have told you. You don't need to worry." He said, pulling me up into his lap and wrapping his arms around my waist. "It's fine, I can handle myself." I smiled, hugging him back. "We should get dressed though, so we can go get something to eat. I'm kind of hungry." My stomach growls. "Okay, let me go get you a dress from Sammie." He sets me down and walks out the door. I sat on the bed and waited for him to come back with a dress for me. After a few minutes, he came back into the room with a dress for me. I thanked him and went into the bathroom to get changed. I took off his shirt and slipped the summer dress on and it fit me perfectly. It was a sky blue, matching Deans eyes. I had spaghetti straps and it was fitted around the chest and the waist. Then it flared out at the bottom and stopped just above the knee. I brushed my hair one more time and walked back into the bedroom, finding Dean sitting on the edge of the bed playing on his phone. He looked up and smiled at me. I walked over to him and he stood up, taking my hand. "Are you ready Amore?" He held out his hand. I nodded and followed him. Walking down the stairs again, I realized that we weren't on one of the first floors. That we were at the top floor. Confused, I frowned and looked at dean. I nudged him and he looked confused at me. "Why are we on the fourth floor? You said that was for the leader of the pack, the alpha, right?" I questioned. "Um... Well... You see... I-I am the alpha..." He muttered, rubbing the back of his neck, looking everywhere but at me. "You're-you're the alpha??" I stopped and stepped back. "Yes. Does that bug you?" He questioned me worriedly. "Um... I don't know... What does that make me? I don't know anything about werewolves." "Once you fully accept me as your mate, you will become the Luna of this pack." "But I don't know anything about pack life or anything. I just found out I was a werewolf like two days ago!" I started to panic. Dean walks over and rubs my arms up and down, instantly calming me. "Hey... Calm down... It's okay, you don't have to become Luna until you're ready. I mean, the sooner the better, but I will never pressure you into it." "Okay..." I took his hand and we started to walk into the dining room. The table was empty besides Nick and Sammie. Sammie looked up and waved us over and I went to sit next to her, but a hand was wrapped around my waist and he pulled me towards him. Dean sat at the head of the table with Nick to his left and then he made me sit to his right. I frowned but ignored it. "Hello Alpha, what can I get for you this morning?" This girl purred at him and it pissed me off right away and I glared daggers at her. "I will just take the pancakes, sausage, eggs and hashbrowns. Please, thank you Anna." He said without even looking at her and she seemed upset. Then she looked me up and down and glared. "What can I get for you...?" She grumbled out and paused. "Hello Anna, my name is Mia. I will just take a cowboy omlet please." I said plainly. She nodded and brushed her hand on Deans' shoulder and he stiffened at the contact. I growled and she immediately removed her hand and hurried to the kitchen. I saw Nick and Sammie starting to chuckle and I glared at them. Then I felt similar sparks on my thigh and I looked over to see a grinning Dean. "You know I never thought I would like a territorial woman but I loved hearing you growl." He smirked. "Well, you said I was your mate and I can see that you are mine. I don't like sharing what is mine." I rolled my eyes and they all laughed. We all made small talk until mine and deans food got to the table. Anna set his food down first and then set mine down. After she set mine down, she rested her hand on his shoulder as if it belonged there. I growled and she looked at me and glared at me. "Is there anything else that I can get you all?" She said, smirking at the others. Nobody said anything, so I spoke. "There is one thing... You can remove your hand from my mate. This will be your one and only warning. Do not touch my mate again." I stood up and growled at her. "I'm-I'm sorry... I didn't see a mark..." She paled. "Oh, shut up Anna. You know the Luna always sits to the right of the alpha. Don't play stupid." Sammie said while rolling her eyes. Anna nodded and hurried off. I sat back down and heard Dean laughing. "What?" I growled at him. "Hey! I thought that was super sexy. But that is why I sat you to my right. Everyone knows the alpha and Luna sit here." I nodded and started eating. When we were done, we heard a scream and I froze. There was a middle-aged woman running towards me. She pulled me into a big bear hug, or should I say wolf hug? Then she pulled away and started to look at me, so I did the same to her. She had pitch black hair that was down to her waist. She had bright blue eyes and a heart-shaped face. She was a bit taller than I was, maybe five-eight? She wore a long dark blue summer dress that was flowy. "Hello dear, you must be Mia?" She said excitedly. "Um... Hi yes, ma'am, my name is Mia." I said, looking at Dean for help and I saw a smirk on his face. "Mom, will you please not scare my mate away yet. This is the first time she's been here and I would like her to come back." He chuckled as he came and stood next to me. "Oh nonsence... We have so much planning to do! The Luna ceremony will have to be held soon!" She grinned and I paled. "Mom... She isn't ready for that yet," Dean said seriously now. "Oh? Why not dear?" She looked sad now. "Um... well Mrs. Rich-"I started "Please call me mom or Leah." She smiled at me. "Oh... Okay, Leah. So I just found out I was a werewolf like two days ago... So this is all pretty new to me. So I was hoping that I could take my time adjusting?" I said sweetly. "Oh, of course dear. I can help show you what a Luna does around a pack when you are ready too." She said while rubbing my arm. "You know... Maybe you and your parents could move into pack territory? So that you are closer, then that way you get used to it as well." She said, full of hope. "Yeah maybe. My mom and dad are supposed to be coming here soon." I gave her a soft smile and she nodded. "Hey mom, we really need to finish this project for history. So if you need us, we will be in my room." He said, pulling me with him and up the stairs. "Alright! But just remember I'm not getting any younger! I would like grandbabies some day!" She yelled and I blushed so hard while Dean just laughed. Once we got back to his room, we jumped right into the history project. Asking each other questions here and there. After a few hours, we were finished. I saved our work and closed the laptop. I threw myself back on the bed and sighed. He laid down next to me and just looked at me. "Yes?" "Are you upset?" He asked, worried. I sat up, resting on my elbows and looked at him. "No. It's just that so much has changed in the last few days that I don't know if I will ever be able to do what I want. I have worked so hard to get where I am now. I don't want that all to change just because I'm supposed to do something and follow the same rules as everyone else..." Hurt flashed in his eyes. "Well... you don't have to... Are you saying that you don't want to be with me? We can take things slower if you want. We can make this work." He said in a panic. "I do want to be with you, Dean. But then I won't get to rodeo or have my horses. Or become a vet like I wanted too." I sighed. "You can bring your horses here. I will build them a nice barn and arena. Just like you have at your house. You could still do rodeos here in Montana if you really wanted to. You could become a doctor instead of a vet? I mean you would technically still be working on animals?" He rushed out. "I don't know... There is so much to think about." I played back down and stared at the ceiling. "I just don't want to be controlled and do what everyone expects me to do." "I know what you mean..." He lays down next to me. We lay there in silence for what seemed like hours, even though I'm sure it had only been a few minutes. I rolled over to face him and he did the same. He brushed a hair off of my face that fell and tucked it behind my ear. I closed my eyes and relaxed into the soft bed. I felt him pull me closer and he started to run his fingers through my hair. I slowly drifted off to sleep. When I woke, I saw Dean looking down at me with a soft smile on his face. I blush and try to roll away, but he holds me tighter. Pulling me flush against him. I giggle and try to pull away. "Why must you try to get away from me every time you are close mi amore?" He whispers into my ear and I shiver. "You make me nervous." I whispered back. "Hmm..." He hums into my neck. There was a knock on the door. "Come in." The door opened slowly. Revealing my mom and dad. My mom had a soft smile while my dad had a stern look on his face looking at Dean. I got up and gave each one of them a hug and sat back down next to Dean. "What have you two been up to?" My mom said, smirking, looking between both of us. "Not much. We just finished our history project. Not sure what we are gonna do the rest of the day. What are you guys doing?" "Well we were just talking with Luna Leah about moving..." My mom said, looking at my dad, then back to me. "But... We just moved here... I don't want to move again..." I whinned. "No sweetheart. We were talking about moving here, to the pack house. So that you would be better protected and so that you can learn more about werewolves." My dad said softly. I couldn't help it. I jumped up and hugged both of them around the neck, squeezing them tightly. Then, turning around, I hugged Dean tightly. I was so excited we weren't moving away again. "When are we moving here?" I asked excitedly. "We can do a little packing each day. But hopefully within the next week. You can pack your clothes and move them here this weekend if you want. We can pack the rest of the house. You will just need to pack up your horses' stuff." My mom said, smiling. "Will you come help me pack my room?" I looked at dean and he nodded. "Great. I will go tell Luna Leah." My mom said while walking out of the room. "You will be staying in separate bedrooms. You may be mates, and you may be my alpha, but she is still my daughter Dean. You had better treat her with the upmost respect that you have. Otherwise we will have a little chit-chat between us men." My dad said gruffly while glaring at Dean. "Yes-yes sir. She is my top priority. She will always be respected sir." Dean says, standing up to face my father. He nodded and left the room. "Let's go!" I grabbed his hand and took off downstairs and out the back door. "Your dad makes me so nervous," Dean mutters out. "Why don't we take my car?" "I want to run there." I smirked. I think of my pearl white wolf and shift. The pain was still painful but nothing like it was before. I stood and looked at Dean. He smirks and shifts into his jet black wolf. He stands proudly and walks towards me, brushing his fur against mine. I purred and pushed against him, walking in front of him. I mentally smirked, looked at him and bolted into the woods. I heard a playful growl behind me and his paws hitting the hard forest floor right behind me. "We are faster than they are, but let's play with them a bit?" Emerald said playfully and I agreed. We would slow down just enough for them to start to gain on us. Then, right as they were a stride behind us, we would sprint ahead and put plenty of distance between us. We could hear them growl and try to run faster, but we were still faster than they were. "Why are we so much faster than they are? Dean said alphas are the fastest?" I asked Emerald through our mind link. "We are a hybrid. We are the fastest and strongest creature there is now." She says proudly and I just nod. I slowed down once I saw the edge of the tree line and sat down. Dean caught up quickly, he sat beside me and rubbed his head on my shoulder. I stood up and motioned him to follow me. "Why can't we talk to Dean when we are in wolf form?" I asked Em. "We haven't mated yet. Once we are fully mated and marked, then we will be able to mind link them. I suppose we could earlier since we are part witch, but that might give it away that we are not fully a wolf." She said and I nodded. I walked to the back door and saw clothes neatly set on the back porch. I grabbed them in my mouth and walked behind a tree and shifted back. I felt almost no pain this time, which was really nice. I walked out from behind the tree and saw Dean already shifted and pulling on his shirt. I could't help but stare at the way his muscles flexed while he pulled the shirt over his back. "All you have to do is ask amore." He smirked and I blushed. I walked inside and straight to my bedroom with a dean hot on my tail. I grabbed a box on my bed and headed to the bathroom first. I started with my body washes, shampoo, conditioner and lotions. I then grabbed my face wash, make-up, toothpaste and brush. I walked back into my bedroom and saw Dean sitting on my bed playing on his phone. "I wasn't sure what you wanted me to pack so I just waited." He said, looking up at me. "Um... if you wouldn't mind, would you mind taking everything off the walls and putting it in a box or two?" He nodded and started doing that. I started pulling all my clothes into boxes. I started with pants, then moved to shirts and sweatshirts. I started on my bras and underwear. I hurried and tried to put them all in a box before Dean could see any of them. But it just wasn't my lucky day. Dean grabbed a lace turquoise matching pair and smirked at me. "Oh... How about you model this for me?" He grinned. "Um... How about not!" I tried to grab them but he held them up higher, out of my reach. "Give me a kiss and you can have them back." He smirked, pulling me closer to him. I glared at him and smirked. I leaned up and he leaned down. I softly brushed my lips on his and he wrapped his hand around the back of my neck and pulled me flush against him. He leaned the rest of the way down and pushed his lips on mine in a hungry, needy kiss. I heard the front door open and close and my parents laughing. I grabbed the set and pulled away and smiled up at him. "You get away this time little one... But there is always a next time." He whispers and grins. I blushed and closed up the last box. "Alright, that is it. I'm gonna go tell my parents that we are gonna pack up the barn, then leave." I walked toward the door but stopped when I heard him. "Then we can go home." He smiles softly. Home. I like the sound of that.
