It was running and panting, yelling and screaming. The sound of metal ripping through flesh and fireballs crashing through walls. Mothers struggled to carry their children away from the raid; fathers fought to bring their sons away from the battle. The frontline Archers, soldiers, and knights dressed in the finest Qodinian battle armor aggressively rebelled against the clans the Waurotaesian Empire turned on. The Kingdom floated on the tip of a mountain called 'Ryevena.' In its glory days, Ryevena flourished with shimmering wildflowers, trees, and vines, which climbed up the past statues and presented Qodinian ancestors. It followed a crystal diamond stairway with waterfalls on both sides, leading up to the glorious heaven-like Kingdom covered with the clan's blood and the effects of battle. They were fighting the Qodinian 1st Lieutenant Slew frantically, his last victim. He looked around him to see so many fallen comrades. His white hair, drenched with the enemies' blood, and his bright green eyes fixed on the 2nd Lieutenant helping the Commander carry their King to safety. The King is in gold battle wear, has short silver hair, pointy ears, green eyes fixed on another fireball that launched, striking the top of the kingdom wall that crumbled down. The chants and roars of the enemy grew in numbers as more gathered, ready to attack. In the front stood a figure dressed in an all-black cloak covering its face that only exposed its sinister sharp smile.
"Leave me be." grunted the King.
"We cannot do that, sir." the 2nd lieutenant barked.
"Lesuar, Commander Ecthelben, is the King alright?" the 1st lieutenant screamed, running towards them.
"He took a blow to the side; he got miscued, Lusuar." Lesuar paused. "I don't think he's going to make it, brother." They both exchanged looks.
"Well, we both know what we must do now; we need to get the King to the Queen," Lusuar stated.
The King's face flushed red. "No!" he strained. "I'll fight and die on this battlefield alongside my people!"
"I'm sorry, but the twins are right. You must go to ensure their safety. They'll get a hold on Laegwen and kill the Queen if not. All of this fighting will be in vain if that happens." Ecthelben pointed out.
The King's face saddened, and he dropped his head down in defeat.
"I'm afraid you're right, Ecthelben." He choked.
"If I don't make it, you must take my family to the said place we discussed." The King then lifts his head, looking directly towards Ecthelben with protective eyes.
"Protect them by all means necessary." The King's face gloomed for a bit as he shoved his comrades off him.
"I will with my life," Ecthelben vowed as he locked eyes with his King.
"Good, I trust you will." the King places his hand on Ecthelben's right shoulder blade. "Lusuar, Lesuar, you both did well." He finished.
"It was an honor, Sire." The twins humbly replied and bowed.
"Well, brother, let's go out with a bang, shall we? Lesuar cracked.
"Indeed we shall. We'll hold the enemy off long enough for you to get going." Lusuar replied.
"Right." Ecthelben ended, grabbing the King by his left shoulder. "Regeius!" he shouted and disappeared instantly with the King.
A subsequent wave comes, crashing in like a tidal wave, one after another. The twins held their right and left hands together. Creating an electric current throughout their bodies and forward that energy outwards with their free hands, creating a thick barrier of electricity. The wave crashed into the barricade, turning them to dust instantly. The screams and agony tore through the sky as the cloaked figure walked its self boldly towards the barrier and placed its long silver fingernail into it in a ripping motion. Its calm yet sinister eyes fixed on the twins.
"Slueos," it whispered. The barrier turned into a thick black wall of smoke; the haunting look on the figure's face exposed its intentions with the twins.
"Igniorpus!" it then screamed.
The smoke turned into spikes, stabbing the twins in the chest, making tearing, and ripping sounds to their flesh that made them cringe. Still, they continued to hold their ground with agony written on their faces. The twins dropped to the floor; the figure flinched with excitement and removed the hooded cloak from its face exposing its feminine features. Her violet eyes and deep purple hair swayed in the wind as it brushed across her pale skin as she walked towards the twins.
"Traitor!" Lusuar choked, looking up at the figure standing over him.
"I'm the traitor or the outcast?" she replied, grabbing Lusuar's jaw, forcing him to gaze upon his brother.
"Look, your brother is wheezing, any moment now, he'll be dead, and you'll follow suit." She finished.
The figure then dragged Lusuar closer to watch the light die from his brother's eyes. Lifeless, he turned. Lusuar grabbed the figure by her ankle and pulled her to the ground with him. She hit her jaw so hard based on a result.
"You b***h!" he screamed, climbing on top of her as they both exchanged blows rolling back and forth.
After a couple of good blows, the female managed to break free by kneeing him in the gut and panted. Lusuar, then desperately crawled to his brother's lifeless, cold body. He held onto it tight against his, not acknowledging his wounds, and began to yelp. Gasping for air, he could hear his brother's voice saying, 'One more bang.' Lusuar breath is shortening, and it's getting harder to breathe; he glances at the female and points at her focusing on his shot.
"Die…" He strained.
"Elleaith, Demolish!" He finished with the last breath in his body.
He sat there holding onto his brother, and the female looked up at the sky frantically. In the distance, the sky swirl in the form of a tornado striking a giant lightning bolt at its target. The sound left a thunderclap echoing in the air: nothing but a black lightning mark was left.
