Chapter 31 Attack

Selene’s POV

We get home and Amelia is already in front of the pack house she’s excitedly clapping her hands. “Hi Selene I trust your first day went well” she says with a kind smile “It was perfect thank you” I say softly.

“Alright it’s time let’s go shopping!!” She squeals the boys groan in annoyance “She just got home mom” Asher tells her as he rolls his eyes. “I know, but we can go now and still make it back in time for dinner” she says sweetly I giggle at her.

“It’s okay Asher I don’t mind going now let me just grab my other bag” I go and reach for my back pack to run upstairs, but Axel stops me. “It’s okay I’ll go” he rasps, I explain to him which bag to bring me, he nods in understanding and then takes off inside. I stay outside chatting with Amelia and Asher.

Axel gets back shortly with the bag, the boys watch as we get in the car so we wave good bye at them and head to the mall. We do some damage at the mall the last time I came the guys had no idea where to take me but this time Amelia knew exactly what stores to go to.

We had a blast picking out outfits and then modeling them to each other we were in fits of laughter the whole time , when we were done she refused to let me pay for anything everything was her “Special gift to me” but I just didn’t feel right about it I frowned as I watched her pay for it all. We left the mall with so many shopping bags for her and myself, we got into the car making sure we were tightly buckled in and then took off we sang girly music together laughing and giggling “Hey do you want to see our territory from the boarder line” she says as she turns down the radio

“Uhmm I’d love to but I thought it wasn’t safe?” She waves her hands “It’s safe we have tons of patrol and we wouldn’t be going all the way to the boarder line just enough so you can see the forest and some of our mountain trains” she smiles

“Maybe another time when Alpha or the twins can come with us I wouldn’t feel comfortable going all on our own” I say with a frown “Aww come on darling it will be fine” I sigh “Fine but just for a little bit” I say feeling an uneasy feeling on the pit of my stomach.

We get up to the patrol lines we are about a mile before we hit the boarder of the territory and I have to admit this view is surreal “It’s so beautiful” I breathe Amelia smiles as we both look out onto the amazing view we stared at it for a few seconds and that’s when we heard it, the sound of the blaring alarm all over the pack territory.

The pack is under attack and to our misfortune we are on the outskirts of the territory.

Amelia went pale “Get in the car! We need to get you to safety !” I yell she starts driving at a rapid pace when all of a sudden a vampire jumps on the hood of the car. We scream in terror as the blood sucking beast is hissing menacingly. She tries to shake him off while driving but it’s no use the vampire hits the windshield shattering the glass in front of us the action makes Amelia swerves left and right the tires screeched as we hit a tree.

The air bags came flying out I looked over and Amelia was bleeding and knocked out cold from the impact I quickly checked her pulse and realized she was still breathing. I see the vampire on the side of us Stalking towards us. I jump out of car and stand in front of it, the vampire hisses and a wide smile spreads on its demonic face “Well well well what do we have here, the Luna and a pretty girl I’m sure you’ll make the king awfully happy you’ll both be the prize I take to him” he laughs manically I scoff “Your not taking anyone!” I growl he laughs again and rushes at me at vampire speed I’m ready for him as he comes close i hit him in the jaw with electric bolts shooting out of my hand. He whimpers and goes flying to the other side. “SIREN!!” He hisses with his pupils dilated his fang protruding out of his mouth. “A mighty prize you’ll make if I don’t take you for myself first” he growls “You can try” I smirk he comes back at me this time at full velocity.

I don’t let him get close I shoot him with electric bolts he cowers in pain again, I go barreling towards him and hit his face multiple times shocking him with all my strength. His body goes into shock and I take the opportunity to grab him by the throat he hisses in pain while I rip out his throat clean, his black blood goes sprinkling everywhere tainting the earths surface. I get up and dust myself off when I am hit on the side the impact sends me flying to the side of the forest before I can react someone grabs me by the throat and pins me against a tree. “Oh little Siren your mine” the vampire says as his fangs elongate. I grab his chest and let the electricity course through me he whimpers in pain but doesn’t let go of me. I hit him in the gut and he hisses in pain.

“A feisty little siren you are you will make an interesting chosen mate” he chuckles he then tries to mark me adrenaline courses through me. I kick him as hard as I can and send him flying to the tree in front of me “ I don’t think so” I shoot him again with a powerful shot. “You b***h” he hisses he charges towards me once more his power radiating off of him, this couldn’t be a regular vampire this one had an aura radiating off of him. His body makes an impact with mine and we thrash around on the floor my whole body vibrates with energy and I hit him with as much electricity as I could “Ahhhh!!” He growls loudly as I continue to power surge him “You will be mine!!” He shouts elongating his fangs again he gets an inch off my neck.

I manage to kick him off of me again, my body is exhausted but so is his our chests are rising and falling rapidly. He goes into another attack stance when growls and thundering paws are heard we both turn our head and to our surprise 3 black as night wolves come barreling from the trees they stand tall taller then the both of us their jaws foaming at the mouth, and their eyes blood shot red and their aura extruding power, they stand in front of me in a protective stance they charge at the vampire in unison growling and snarling the Vampire laughs “You’ve won this round you stupid mutts! I will be back and when I do I’ll be taking her with me” he says his lips curled into a smile as he looked at me with his preditorial gaze my blood ran cold as I stared at the dead look in his eyes.

He then ran at vampire speed two of the wolves go barreling after him growling and snarling while me and the other black wolf go running towards the Luna she was still knocked out cold. The wolf shifts back to human form and I realize it’s the Alpha King we pull her out of the car together her body is banged up from the crash but she’s breathing and her pulse is strong. “Why were you both so close to patrol lines!” The alpha growls “she wanted to show me the forest before we headed back to dinner we never imagined an attack would happen.” I say hanging my head low .

he growls at me rage showing in his eyes, I don’t dare talk back to him an ambulance comes rapidly. The Luna is put on a gurney the two wolves from earlier come back still snarling they shift back in front of me and I realize this is Axel and Asher I look at their incredible bodies the men are built like Greek gods the middle of my core heats up at the sight if them.

They chuckle lowly at my gawking and I blush profusely. “I’m going to go with your mother please take Selene home” the king mutters clearly angry at me. They nod and run into the trees I look at the sky cursing at myself this wasn’t even my idea to come exploring this far. The guys emerge from the trees wearing shorts, I thank the moon goddess because the way they were making me feel was definitely not okay. Asher rushes at me “Are you okay Selene” he says looking me over and touching my body everywhere my body betrays me again and heat start building in my core “I’m okay Asher I promise” I say panting as I pull away he smirks and the twins give each other a knowing smile. Thankfully before anyone could say a word an SUV pulls up with Beta Titan driving..
