Chapter 17 Forfeit

Selene’s POV

After getting thrown into a tree by Axel my vision went red, I was so angry I couldn’t let him beat me. I fired electric bolts at him to paralyze him to my surprise his wolf fought them off hard, whimpers of pain where heard but the wolf never gave up. “Forfeit! ” I shouted “No!!” He roared back he got up off the floor, I summoned a hurricane the whole world went gray the rain poured down heavily a lighten bolt shot and missed him by an inch, he got up with his back legs limping. “I DONT WANT TO HURT YOU AXEL FORFEIT NOW!” I shouted again. I Hit him with another lightening bolt it makes contact causing him to go down for a second.

The werewolf shakes its head, dazed but not defeated. It rises to its feet with a growl, blood dripping from its wounds, but its ferocity is undiminished. I’m , breathing heavily my head is spinning I’ve never had to use this much power on someone

I don’t know how much more I can fight I raised my palm ready to shoot him once more with lightening he barreled towards me as fast as his paws could carry him, the sound of his paws thundered on the ground I shot the biggest bolt I could summon he zig zagged away from it and shifted to his human form in mid air he tackled me slamming me into the earth. He grabbed me by neck and pushed roughly on it, I squealed in pain thrashing under him.

I pressed my palms to his chest ready to give him his final blow of lightening, I felt a pinch on my neck before I heard the final shot of lightening being shot at Axel and then suddenlyeverything went dark.

Asher’s POV

We watched from the stands as everything unfolded, I stood there with my claws penetrating the metal of the bleachers, I almost lost control when Axel threw her against the tree, I almost ran Inside the arena to stop this madness. My Father grabbed me and shook his head “if you go now you’ll lose her Axel knows what he’s doing” He said through our mind link I looked over at the Siren king he watched as his daughter fought. At first with a smug smile he was confident Selene would win, but to all of our surprise Axel held on tight, Shot after Shot Axel took the hits, the bolts must have hurt badly his wolf whimpered but remained strong. I took a glance at the siren king he to did not think Axel would have lasted this long. He thought he would have gave up or passed out by now but Axel has strength more strength than anyone cares to admit.

Selene was growing tired you could see it on her face.

We watched as Axel shifted back to human form in mid air and tackled her to the ground. She tried to get him off but was unsuccessful she hit and scratched him trying to get him off, the rain and wind picked up as they fought on the ground Selene groaned in pain at something Axel did but we couldn’t see clearly the weather became violent, “Are you going to stop this” I growled at the Siren king a worried look crossed his face and then we heard it a lighting bolt so big it blasted through the whole arena. Screams were heard in the crowd, Axels body was sent flying off Selene’s and with a loud thud his body landed on the earth, we looked over and Selene laid on the ground unconscious. The Siren king looked at his daughters unconscious body “What have I done” he said under his breath

“To the pack hospital now!” My Fathers voice boomed everything became chaos The siren king grabbed Selene’s unconscious and limp body, I picked up Axels unconscious body. As we raced them to the pack hospital dad had already Mind linked them to be ready for our arrival.

we arrived and the medical team gasped at there state Poseidon put Selene on a gurney and I put Axel on a gurney next to hers.

“she has no pulse! Get the crash cart now!! ” The nurse shouted 4 other medical staff came and started doing CPR in the middle of the emergency room there was no time to waste.

“He’s seizing!” The other group of medical staff shouted

The siren king watched as they tried everything they could revive his daughter “Oh my goddess I killed her” he cried dropping down to his knees the staff continued Rigorously to try to save her life. My chest tightened and everything started to blur.

My father came over to me again I was losing control my wolf was angry and he was out for blood “This is all your FAULT!!” I shouted “IF MY MATE AND BROTHER DONT SURVIVE ILL KILL YOU MYSELF!!” I roared at The siren king he buried his face in his hands I grabbed him by the throat hitting him in the face he groaned but didn’t pull away “YOU!” *Hit” “SELFISH” *Hit* “BASTARD!”

My dad and beta Charles pulled me off of him the king groaned his bloody face spilling blood contents everywhere.

My eyes were blood shot red. I was ready to attack the bastard again when “We have a pulse!” A nurse shouted “take her in for surgery now!!” The Doctor yelled.

The staff members wheeled her off we ran after them and then security stopped us “You can’t go back there not until the surgery is preformed I growled menacingly

“He’s not seizing anymore but his oxygen level just dropped get him to ICU STAT!” Another doctor yelled out. Everyone moved to get Axel into ICU. I felt our mate bond tether depleting whatever Axel did it hurt Selene, and with her last electricity surge she hurt Axel. Our mate bond is going wild and my wolf is pacing and howling in my mind.

My mom came running in “What the hell happened! She cried she looked over at the siren king he was still bloody and on his knees. “I did it I killed her” he cried
