Chapter 9 jealousy

Axel’s POV

After Selene walked away our border patrol warriors came up to us in human form Braden our Gamma was the first one to speak he whistled lowly “That girl is f*****g hot! I think I actually have a chance with her” he said with a chuckle the other warriors chuckled with him me and Asher growled at his comment “Knock your s**t off Braden she’s not up for grabs she’s the princess of the sea you will show her some respect!” I snarled at him

“I will respect her I won’t cross any boundaries she won’t allow but she was checking me out you should have seen her, her eyes were glued to me for a second” he said smugly the warrior’s behind him chuckled in agreement I grabbed him by the throat “what do you mean she checked you out” I growled my wolf is at the forefront of my mind ready to rip his throat out. Asher pulled me back “Axel enough control your wolf!” He shouted he then turns to Braden

“I don’t care if she was checking you out or if she stalks up to you naked you will not touch her! None of you will” Asher growled he pushed out his aura, they all whimpered in pain barring their necks in submission. He released them from his hold and we walked back to the pack house to go find our mate.

Asher’s POV

I’m furious! She was checking out another male, another wolf!.. my wolf paced around in my mind furious at the thought he was already so possessive of his mate, “We need to get close to our mate, otherwise we may lose her” I linked Axel he nodded in understanding I could see the jealousy coursing through his veins “you should have let me kill the gamma we could have him replaced!” Axel growled in the link “Easy we can’t go around killing everyone our mate looks at” I grumbled

“So!! They all confirmed it she was checking him out she found him attractive” he linked me his alpha aura was coming off in waves I grabbed him and turned his face to me “calm down right now if you go in there huffing and puffing our mate will never pay attention to us! Remember she’s Royalty and she bows down to no one! Get it f*****g together” I growled in the courtyard Axel glared at me exhaling slowly I could see his wolf being reined in. My wolf calmed down as well, we walked into the kitchen to find our mate.

She was happily talking to my mother, I’m sure she didn’t mention todays dispute otherwise mother would have had our heads by now, she giggled at something my mom said, “even her giggle is heavenly”my wolf Ryker purred in delight. She didn’t even take a glance at us as we walked in however mom did “Boys, good morning” she said happily our mate looked up at us, finally acknowledging our presence her blue eyes stared right at us my wolf howled like a puppy.

She raised an eyebrow at me and scoffed “Good morning to you to Selene” she rolled her eyes annoyingly “We already had the pleasure of meeting each other this morning” she said dryly.

mom turned around “oh you saw each other this morning” my mate nodded “mmmhhmm in the woods” she smirked

“oh how nice did you show her the territory?” Mom asked sweetly “no actually..” Axel cut her off “actually we encountered her on a run isn’t that right” Axel said glaring at Selene “Sure let’s go with that” she smirked taking a drink of her orange juice mom was a little confused and I could tell she was dieing to ask more questions but she didn’t instead she changed the topic “Okay ready to go sweetie” selene nodded getting up from the table “Where are you guys going?” I said raising an eye brow at her it’s 8am “we’re going shopping remember? Selene didn’t pack anything”

“Oh yeah I forgot, mom your so busy why don’t we take Selene ” she narrowed her eyes at us and I smiled at her “No no what do you mean you boys don’t even like the mall” she said annoyed “we don’t but I need to get a couple things and since we’re already going Selene can ride with us” I opened the mind-link with my mom and Axel

“Please let us take her alone mom she was checking out Braden our gamma and my wolf won’t stop pacing he’s a jealous mess”

Mom chuckled “she has good taste he’s cute” she mind-linked us back “Mom!!” We growled “I’m kidding I’m kidding gosh don’t go all Alpha on me” she scolded us. “Fine but later this week you have to let me have her!” She whined we nodded in understand “you know what sweetie maybe it is best they take you to the mall, I have a few things for the mating ball that need urgent attention” she said innocently

she shook her head “I can wait for whenever your free, My dad would never allow me to go with 2 unmated males to the mall” she said shyly her dad was staring daggers at her. “Oh I’m Sure King Poseidon wouldn’t mind right” My dad said to him

He glared at my father for a moment and then sighed

His voice broke through the crowd “It’s fine Selene just go with them” her eyes widened at his approval. “Dad you never let me go with Zach anywhere and all of a sudden you’re going to let me go to town with 2 unmated males that you don’t even know well!” We growled at her mention of that siren boy again she turned to look at us “Boy you both do growl a lot” she said shaking her head disapprovingly Dad chuckled at her comment “It’s fine Selene go have fun here’s my card” he pulls out a black card from his wallet

“no need sir we’ll buy it all” she rolls her eyes at us “Why would you guys buy it all?” She questioned “Just as gift” i said nervously rubbing the back of my neck she scoffed “What if I have expensive taste? What if I wanted to buy a 3,000$ dress” she questioned

“we’ll buy it for you” Axel chimed in “now let’s go” he said to her grabbing her arm and pulling her softly mom opened our mind link again “I love her already” she gushed as we were leaving the room

I could hear my father chuckling he was finding this way to amusing.
