Chapter 7 meet Asher

Asher POV

After we completely blew our cover that Selene is our mate I was not expecting Dad to be so enthusiastic about it. He’s always said he wanted werewolf grand children I don’t know where this is coming from and Selene’s dad is furious but he’s insane if he thinks we are rejecting our mate. We growl defensively The siren king looks ready to strike so we take a stance ready to shift and take him on our eyes glow with those of our wolves my wolf is at its forefront ready to attack the man that won’t let him have his mate.

“Settle down all of you!” The Alpha King shouts expanding his Alpha aura at us, Usually that would helped but this is a King, a king that has ruled for over 100 years he’s not going to back down to Dads aura his electricity around him becomes sharper, and he begins to float his eyes roll back and come back to the front as white clouds “You will not have my daughter! You both have quite the reputation of using and abusing females as you see fit my daughter will not be subjected to that” his voice thunders loudly. The walls of the pack house shook I’m sure his voice was heard throughout the palace walls. My mom and Selene come running in “Dad!!” She tells him angrily “What is the meaning of this!” She shouts he turns over slowly and looks at his daughter, Axel pulls her behind protectively she screams at him “Excuse me! Don’t grab me like that” she huffs “Dad you need to calm down!” She yells he scoffs but comes down from his floating position his eyes roll back to the same bright silver he had. “Why are you so upset your always so calm cool and collected” she says out of breath waving her hands dramatically

she’s dressed in the tiniest Pajama set I’ve ever seen making all her curves pop out, she turns to us narrowing her eyes at us “What did you do to my Father he never acts this way” she said coming over and pointing her finger to Axels chest. Everyone stares at my little mate for a second her confused demeanor and her angry stance just makes her look more beautiful. Axel chuckles nervously “why would you assume I did anything your father is the aggressor here” he says pointing in his direction she turns to look at her father he rubs the back of his neck nervously “Care to explain? Because if I acted like this in someone else’s home you’d have my head!” She shouts at him I growl at her statement she puts her hand out shushing me “Calm yourself wolf boy” she says angrily I’m stunned by her comment did she just call me a wolf boy? “We had a disagreement and I got carried away” The siren king states “Well I think it’s time you either retreat to your quarters or we leave which one will it be” The king looks from her to us and then my dad “Well continue this tomorrow” he mutters angrily and he walks out withSelene on his heels.

Dad laughs loudly once the door clicks shut I don’t think I’ve ever heard him laugh this much. “Im glad you find this all so hilarious our mates father hates us!” I say dryly

“He’ll get over it” he says waving his hand “Your mates to Selene?” Mom questions we both nod “What great news” she squeals dad looks at her with a wide grin “Why is this a good thing why are you both so excited that man hates us!, hates that he will have mixed babies what about our heir what if it turns out with the siren gene?” I questioned

“your future Alpha Kings! You idiots you’re not going to have hybrid babies you’ll have alpha babies and they’ll probably inherit a special power of some kind” he shrugs “and why is this good news, it’s good news because that girl was meant to be mated with one of you future kings she is the ONLY princess in all 4 kingdoms!” He says lowly “She also doesn’t act as siren as the rest of them Poseidon hates human food and she stated she loved it.. he also said she didn’t want to live under the sea she wants to travel..” “she could have been mated to the vampire kings son! Making him all the more powerful that girl is strong make no mistake her stature is small but she can rise a whole tsunami at her finger tips, it should be an honor to be mated to her! The mood goddess gifted you her because she thought you boys were worthy” Dad shouts and I guess when he puts it like that we should feel honored the moon goddess blessed her to us. He chuckled lowly again “But have fun getting her attention that girl couldn’t care less about the both of you” dad chuckles low in his chest he’s really enjoying this.

I frowned and turned to Axel he shrugged at me “I’m so excited there’s finally another girl in the family” mom said happily clapping her hands as she plopped herself into dad’s lap.

dad looked up at her smiling up at her he turned to look at both Axel and me “I also prohibit you both from telling the girl you are her mates she must find out on her own when shes of age she’s to young to be thinking about mates she’s only 17!” His voice is low and commanding

“17! How long before she recognizes the mate bond?” Axel asks

“She’s a siren so I think they come of age at 18 if I’m not mistaken her 18 birthday is coming up soon”

I release the breathe I was holding okay we can do this just a few months before our mate will recognize us I glare at Axel he seems lost in thought probably trying to control his wolf “your dismissed” my dads gruff voice huffs out Axel and I retreat to our chambers in silence my wolf is pacing in my head howling with anger knowing we won’t be able to claim our mate for a few months..
