" Why are you so nervous? It seems like you are sharing the bed with me for the very first time."
Kendrick spoke blatantly, his eyes narrowing on my way. I forced myself to stay calm but something was throbbing inside me. I didn't want him in the room but how could I drive my mate away?
I hummed softly, slipping out of my shoes before going to the dresser. The question still lingered in my mind that I couldn't erase. I told him in a numb voice, looking for the night voice,
" I don't understand..I don't suit your Alpha community. Why do you want me to join the parties with you?"
Kendrick stopped smoking before he sneered in hatred,
" Do I have a choice? Those fuckers are gossiping about your presence. I need to bring you everywhere before I make my decision."
