Theseus P. o. v

To say I was furious is an understatement, all I want to do now is kill that cunt. She had managed to turn my sister against me, this had never happened before. Even when we were younger, she would always look up to me and stay close to me. It was another reason why she left the palace to live with me in my kingdom. But now that little cunning witch had managed to get her to hate me, but not for long. We continued our journey but all I was thinking about is how to make Alexandros leave without taking the girl. It was when we got to the ship that I own that I got the perfect idea. Then I will be able to kill the girl while Ariadne would be here at sea with my men, she would think she is doing me a favor by going with the ship to monitor the goods, but instead she is giving me a chance.

Alexandros, that bastard once I am done with her, I will come back for him. I was even more furious when I saw my lead man for the ship, I had information already from my spy that he stole from me. I was going to punish him immediately but I looked up to see Ariadne watching us from the ship, decided to handle his punishment later, everyone knew better than to steal from me. She smiled at the cunt and I noticed they talked then the cunt got up making her way off the ship, at first Ariadne was following her but Lilian stopped her chowing her something. I smirked seeing her going down the path all on her own. I figured I should scare her too since I was really angry.

I sensed where she is by the tree, I teleported there and held her up by the tree. With much rage, I said

“You little cunt, you managed to turn my sister against me but not for long, I will not let you hurt her too with your filth, Worry not, she will be gone soon” I noticed she was gasping for air and I teleport back to the place I was before. Now she would know her place!. I walked back to the ship, when I set foot in I heard Ariadne saying she was going to look for that girl. I hissed while making my way to my men, I ordered them to get ready and asked Lilian if they had all their possession. She nodded smiling, what is her problem. I turned leaving her there, I stopped walking and looked towards the woods to see Ariadne and ocean make their way back. She really is good at acting, she looked perfect like nothing happened in the woods.

They were helped into the ship and my men positioned themselves and we set sail. I always loved been on this ship, because it reminded me of my lily. Mother brought me and Ariadne on our first voyage when we were but babies. She had a fight with father and decided to leave, I could not fathom how she was able to pass the guards, but she was a witch after all. She had us wrapped in our cloaks looking like peasants, it was cold but I was happy knowing I had my lily. Ariadne would cry from time to time and mother would suckle her. We went to the Crescent kingdom which was home then for my maternal grandparents. I was so excited to see them for the first time, father never let us leave the palace. We were there for one night before father found us and brought us back home. I smiled remembering how he had to carry my mother on his shoulder when she refused to leave. I was later told that she left because someone tried to kill Alexandros in her crib while father was away. I was pulled out of my thought when I heard Ariadne order Lilian to get their cloaks out, she has been on several voyage after the first one so she knew how cold it would get soon. She gave one each to Ariadne and the cunt while she wore one herself, she caught me staring at them and smiled at me while tucking a strand of hair off her face. I sighed hoping Lilian was not stupid enough to think I like her.

The sun was at the highest in the sky when food was served. I sat down on some of the ropes to eat, and Lilian smiled again when she handed me my food. I wanted to yell at her but stopped myself knowing full well my sister would only defend her too. She loved Lilian they have been friends since childhood. Soon it was dark and everyone made their way to sleep, the sea was calm so I also doze off for some time. I woke up feeling unsettled, I got up and looked around at everyone after which I looked to the sea still feeling unsettled. Then I heard it, a thunderstorm, it missed our ship. My men were up immediately and Ariadne too but that cunt was still asleep. I was so angry because it only confirmed my suspicions, this is Alexandros handiwork, and his mistress was sleeping through it knowing she is safe. I made my way toward her, my men making way for me, but was stopped by Ariadne

“ Leave her be, Theseus, she is tired and was frightened earlier on” she said,

I huffed and went back to the front row with my men, soon the rain started, drenching us all. I looked back at the girl and saw that she was awake looking pale. Ariadne was trying to heal her, but she knew better that sea sickness was a natural thing from the gods. A storm started just like a predicted. My men were ready and they rowed hard, while I ushered them on. It was hard to navigate with the thunder, rain and storm. Someone was trying to kill us with witchcraft. It must be a powerful witch to concur all three elements at once and a life must be offered.

That fool, he would have to do better than this, I looked back to see Lilian throwing some fruits and herbs together to appease the gods but I knew better. The brat was holding Ocean who was now vomiting in a pail, she looked really bad. Well she has her mater to thank for that, he must have missed the fact that she would get sea sickness. There was an herb at the crescent kingdom that stops the sickness and makes you immune to it, my lily gave us before our first voyage and all my men had it too. The rain continued for a long time and the thunderstorm got worse too, and so did ocean. The brat continues to tend to her along with Lilian who stopped her offering since she noticed his was not the work of the gods. I keep encouraging my men to row harder while I navigated, but I soon smiled when I saw the first sign of dawn.

My men were tired and only got up after I touched them telling them to get up, that it is time. They looked at me confused. But Ariadne knew what I meant. I cleared the center of the boat and sit down there, getting ready for the sun to hit us. The thing with this particular type of witchcraft is the sun must not wake up to your craft. So it was advised to stop before dawn, but I Alexandros did not let the witch stop. I started chanting ready to propel the magic once the sun hit us.

I heard the brat shout NOW!, That was when I used my power to propel the magic, but before I stopped I teleport there. I saw Alexandros with a knife holding it to a witch throat, she saw me before she died and smiled. Then it hit me ,I recognized her. It is Arya, the maid Alexandros mother brought to the palace who killed my lily. She looked old and frail. But now she is dead and I could not get my revenge for my lily.

I heard Alexandros open the door and ran out, I ran after him ready to kill him. I got to the door and was stopped by a shield, I hit it with force getting angry. Since I used witchcraft to get here, I could not leave the room. Alexandros smirked outside then ran further into the woods. I looked back at Arya before teleporting back.

I opened my eye to see the brat outside the circle, waiting for me to come back. She smiled and embraced me when she saw that I was back, I smiled back saying:

“ it would take more than a little Arya to kill me”,

She gasped then pulled out of my embraced,” That was Arya, where is she?” she asked getting angry. We spent several nights looking for her.

“ she is dead, I propelled her magic and she was not strong enough to handle it. But Alexandros was there too and he had a Knife to her throat when I got there”

“ I thought they were together,”, she said

“I thought so too, but then she looked old and weak,” I said

“I do not care, as long as she is dead, she got what she deserved.” The brat said, I smiled pulling her back in to me. I looked back to see The cunt siting up and she looked better. I was just glad my sister was talking to me so I did not say anything. After checking for any damages done, we had breakfast, and by then I knew we were in getting close to my territory. The weather was cold and after some time you could see the snowflakes falling. My kingdom is extremely cold just like I like it, even though I hated the rain.

I had fallen in love with the weather when we first came here with mother. She explained that it was one of the blessing of the water god on the people of the crescent. At first I did not understand what she meant until we got to the fogs that covered the entrance of the kingdom, only a true local could navigate through it. So the people were always protected, any enemy would easily get lost on the sea. We were now by the fog and I made my way to the front line helping the men navigate the way. We made shores after a while and I jumped off first with few of my men to pull the ship to the shores. The men were unpacking while I went ahead to check the horses that had been in place and the carriage.

Seeing it there, I made my way back to the ship, by then all the women were out of the ship stretching. I notice the cunt was shivering, this must be her first time of seeing snow and feeling it. Ariadne was trying to warm her up and she smiled telling her thank you. Lilian was cold too but she had been here with Ariadne for some time. We walked to the horses with Ariadne in the front holding ocean, who was shivering bad now. They got to the carriage and went in, Lilian went in after them and I went to the horse. We went ahead while my men would bring the other carriage to the palace. And yes, I had my palace here too, though not as big as is but it was still a castle. The snow had fallen on the roads, and the trees, while it was still fallen but not that hard like it does during the festival. Soon we were in the market and some people were outside, some chopping woods, some going by their trades. They had fires on the side of the roads, it has always been like that, everyone had to keep a fire going to keep warm.

We got to the gates and the men at the gates jumped off their sit once they saw me. I stopped and glared at them, all four of them, then kicked the horse. I looked up to see my castle, my home and I sighed seeing my men rushing out to me. Finally, am home and I can now put my plans in place.        

Oceans P.o.v

I felt water on my face and forced my eyes open, I looked around before remembering that I was on the ship. I smiled but not for long as I felt the rain starting to fall heavy, something was not right about it. I got up and see that Ariadne and Lilian was standing up looking toward the front line, I followed their gaze and saw Theseus looking toward the sky navigating the way for the men, I was going to say something to Ariadne when I felt a bile raise in my throat. I turned toward the sea to vomit and feeling really sick. I got drowsy and fell only to be caught by Ariadne.

“ you have the sea sickness, oh goddess” Ariadne said, but I could not reply to her. Then the thunderstorm started, and soon the rain, and the storm. Been drenched by the rain did not help my sickness but Ariadne did. She was using her powers to keep me warm. I noticed Lilian doing some offering but I could not participate in it, all I could do was say a silent prayer for myself.

It was so worse that night, and our voyage was worse but we all made it. When I opened my eyes, I saw Theseus on the ground with his legs tucked in in a circle. The men looked confused as I was but Ariadne only smiled as if she knew what he was doing. He used his magic once the sun was up, after that he was gone. It was not the first time for us but I was surprised because I felt better. He was gone for some time and Ariadne soon started to pace back and forth, but he reappeared back. He mentioned someone named Arya, and Ariadne was glad that he killed her. She hugged him afterwards and I noticed him smile. Am glad they made up, so maybe he would hate me less now.

I pulled my cloak in feeling really cold again, when I noticed some white thing falling from the sky, I asked Ariadne and she told me it was snow. I grinned happily but not for long for it soon become extremely cold. My teeth’s were clapping together due to the cold. I was relieved when I felt a hand wrap another cloak around me, I looked and see that it is Ariadne, I smiled but was still shaking,

“ Oh dear, now you feel one of the wonders of crescent kingdom. You get used to it”, she said smiling 

I nodded because it was the only thing I could do then. She moved closer to me and give me more warmth, but it was not that warm and she explained it was because she is bit tired. But I was still grateful. We passed through a fog as Ariadne called it, it was like smoke and soon made shores. I was happy but once my foot touched the soil, I knew It was going to get worse. Ariadne rushed out of the ship with me and lead me to the carriage. I sighed feeling some heat from the lamp that was lit inside it. I felt he carriage moved and we made our way to Theseus castle, and I remembered his words, am here now !,

“What seems to be the matter, ocean?”, Ariadne asked noticing the look on my face

“nothing”, I said, am just feeling the weather, I added forcing a smile

“ would you lie to me, ocean?”, she said with a stern look,

“ No, but….” I stopped just in time,

“But what, tell me”

“Theseus promised to give me to his men when we get here, and now am just scared” I told her

“Do not worry, we will all stay together, and I would make it clear to them all that you are my guest to be respected, so fear not”

She said and I believed her and felt better, except for the cold. Soon the carriage stopped and I heard the sound of gates opening, we are at the castle, Ariadne said, smiling. I smiled back too thinking of the heat that must be in there. The carriage stopped and we all stepped out, I was shocked at the size of the castle and its beauty. I felt Ariadne hand around me and I felt some warmth again from the her.

“ you do not have to, can we go inside now ?” I said shivering, and I could see smoke coming from my mouth

“ Just wait here,”, she said and I noticed her walking towards where Theseus is. He had his back turned to us but I could see his men, there were lots of them in armors on with fur cloak on the shoulder and I noticed the Emperor crest on their chest. They stopped talking when they noticed her, they had fear in their eyes too for the two sibling. She placed her hand on Theseus shoulder and said something to his ear. He looked back at me with cold stare and I wished I could get swallowed by the ground. But he smiled at her and gestured her forward toward his men

“ The lady over there is my guest, who is to be protected and treated with respect, anyone of you touches her and I will have your heart” she said looking very serious, Theseus turned his back and looked at me, if looks could kill I know I would be dead by now. I turned anxiously to talk to Lilian but she must have made her way inside the castle.

“ Let’s go inside, there is warm soup with rabbit meat you will love it. The cook here is good”, Ariadne said with a smile. We walked into the castle hallway and I was surprised by the painting on the walls, there were dragons been slayed by a man. I stopped while admiring it, Ariadne explained that it was their grandfather and then the other ones in the gathering hall was of Theseus. That’s why they call him dragon king. It was magnificent. I smiled while feeling it with my palm, it is smooth.

“ you are here to stay, you will see it later. Let’s go so you can eat and rest” Ariadne said pulling me along.

She pulled me to another hallway with doors and she showed me her room, and we went into the room after it. It was beautiful and I loved it. She showed me the chest of clothes and told me she would send Lilian to help me clean up, I refused but she insisted on letting her help me and bring me lunch. She went out after that and locked the door. I sighed glad to be out of the cold, I breathe in the fresh fragrance coming from the scented candles. I sat on the bed feeling relieve and gave in to the comfort of the bed, I was dozing off when I heard a knock.

Lilian peeped in smiling, I did the same and gestured for her to come in. She had a pail of water with her judging from the steam I knew it was hot, so I got up and she led me to the other room, that had a tub in it. She helped me wash up and dried my body. I smiled remembering how it was at the Athens with the bathing in the rain. She helped me dress up in a pink dress that blend with my skin. She gave me some lunch and left me to eat by myself.

I finished eating the food and got up to walk around, seeing the painting on the wall. I was there when I felt some marching sound coming my way, I was going to hide but then I remembered Ariadne warning. I saw four men matching towards me, I felt scared and lowered my gaze, only to hear one of the stop by me and say”

“Milady, you are here. I hope you are not lost, do you need help going around”, he asked smiling, I felt comfortable looking at him smile,

“ no am not lost, I  said stuttering………

“ may I have the honor of showing you around the castle? He asked faking a bow, and I stifled a laugh, I was going to reply when I heard someone clear his throat, I looked up to see Theseus there and he looked furious, I could see fire lit in his hands, Here we go again!
