THE SLITHERING FLESH The welcoming party from the Chimera Scientific Research unit huddled together in a tight group as they awaited the arrival of their test subjects. The assembled group included Professor Donald Hemp, esteemed world expert in radiation, and the founding member of the unit. Next to him stood Dr Terrence White, who, at thirty-five, was one of the youngest recipients of the much-prized Albert Einstein award for physics in enhancing medical breakthroughs. The others assembled were all notable experts in their chosen fields of research and had been gathered together under the official secrets act to assist Professor Hemp with his latest breakthrough.
