I sat in my room with chocolate ice cream smudged on my lips and my laptop playing, How I Met Your Mother
"Here's your drink Emma." Regina says, as she gave me a glass of lemonade, mixed with red wine.
After quitting my job I called Regina to stay over at my place instead of hers, I couldn't bare looking at him. What he said hurt me, I'm like a fragile lost pup, my past was terrible. My mom and dad died at the age of 6. I went through hard times of people judging me or picking on me just because I was an orphan. As I got to the age of 17 I was r***d, by him. I didn't want people to know because people would think I was just a stupid blonde for falling for him when clearly he just wanted to get into my pants. At age 19 he was sent to jail, he got caught trying to r**e me in an alley, that's when it stop, but never the nightmares.
"Why does my life suck." I groan.
"Your life doesn't suck Emma, don't think that." Regina says, rubbing my back.
I sat the finished ice cream down beside me, "Then why does bad things happen to good people?"
Regina sighs, "Emma good people suffer the same as bad people, bad things happens to everyone around, nobody's perfect. Having bad things happen, is a lesson to be taught and if you're good you will get around, and if bad well they will be stuck with that lesson for a while. Emma you're a strong people, you got away from your past, I'm proud of you." She hugged me, "I believe things happens for a reason, and in the end it'll get better." She smiles. I hugged Regina back, a tear rolling down my face, I'm so happy to have her, she accepted me for who I am.
We broke our hug, as I wiped away my tear, "Thank you Gina, I'm so glad I met you."
"Darling you're the one that saved me." She chuckles. "So did you start looking for a new job?"
"No not yet, maybe if I call David, he could probably help me find one."
Regina nods, "Alright, as long as you're happy." I smile at her, as we both continue to watch the show on my laptop.

The next evening I grabbed my cell phone to called David to find me a job asap. I dial his number, waiting for an answer.
"Hello Emma nice to hear from you again." David said through the phone.
I smile just hearing his voice, "Hey David."
"So how's it going at the job?"
I frown, "Not good at all, just yesterday I quit."
David gasped, "Oh no, what happened?" I sigh as I told David the story I told Regina yesterday of all the things he did, and how he acted.
"There he goes again, ruining things that matters to him." Matters? The only thing that matters to him his himself, selfish bastard.
I clear my throat, "Yeah, well I called to see if you could get me a job elsewhere but in New York, probably as far away as possible."
David sighs, "Yeah sure Emma, I'll call you when I find you one."
I smile, "Thank you so much David."
"Anytime Emma, I'll talk to you later, I have to have a serious talk with someone."
"Okay, see you later."
"Bye." David says, as I ended the phone call. I gently sat my phone down, now being bored.
Let's just say I'm a loner, David and Regina is the only people I know, which means I have nothing to do now because I have no job to occupy me. Regina went to work and well I didn't want to intrude David. As I kept thinking of what I should do.
What does a young woman do for fun?
Then an idea clicked in my head, of course the bar.

I shut my car door as I approach the bar in my red dress, and red high heels, with my blonde hair bounced in curls. I haven't been to one of these in years.
I sat at the bar as the bar tender can up to me, "What would you like lovely lady." He smirked. He was quite charming in his brown hair and gray sparkling eyes, his smirk wasn't as quite as sexy as Killian but—wait why am I'm thinking of him?
I smile, "Vodka please."
"Having a rough night?" the bartender asked as he grabbed a glass to pour the drink into.
"Yeah let's just say that." I say, as he sat my drink down, I thanked him and started to drink.
"You came here alone?" He asks.
I shyly smile, "Yep, let's just say I'm a loner." I answer, stirring my straw in my drink.
He sat his rag neatly on his shoulder, "No gorgeous woman as you should never be alone." he says, as I slightly blush, "I'm Walsh." He extends his hand.
I shake it, "Emma." I introduced.
Walsh and I talked for a bit, just about anything. Well mostly Walsh talked and told me stories as I laugh. My clutch vibrates interrupting our conversation as I grabbed it to fish my phone out. I stared at the caller ID
Killian
I'm guessing he put his name into my cell phone without me noticing, I roll my eyes.
I threw my phone back into my purse in anger as all the memories came flowing back of our conversation. It got me angry again.
"Another drink please." I say to Walsh.
"Whoa missy you already had two, you sure you would like another?"
I nod my head as Walsh began to make me another glass of Vodka. After droning that glass I was slurring my ass off the rest of the night, not really remembering the night.
