Chapter 2:
The Cheng family embarked on a journey to Garam, intending to visit their friends, the Luo family. Upon arriving, they were greeted with a terrible surprise: the Luo family had been attacked. Cheng Ling and his wife were both saddened by the news, and they entered the house to investigate.
Inside, Cheng Ling's children, Cheng Ling Er and Cheng Yin, along with Cheng Xu's children, came across an unconscious boy lying on the floor. The boy, Luo Xiaofang, was burning up with a high fever. The children called over their parents to examine the boy.
Filled with compassion, Cheng Ling and Cheng Xu decided to take Luo Xiaofang to a doctor for immediate medical attention. Cheng Ling was worried about what they would do with the child, as he belonged to their friend's family.
Cheng Xu suggested that they take him with them to the sect, as he could become a part of the Cheng family. Cheng Ling considered this option, wondering how they would care for the child, but ultimately agreed to take him with them.To join the sect and also as part of the Cheng family since he has nowhere to go and he didn't have any family members left
