Valeria POV
My eyes widened in shock when guards pushed Tyson out into the arena. He was shirtless and his hands were bound in front of him. The crowd went ballistic and Tyson’s eyes met mine.
“What the hell happened?” I mindlinked him.
“The vampires knew that we were here.” Tyson replied. “They jumped us in the apartment just a few minutes after you left.”
“Where’s Aidan and Tayrin?” I asked.
“Inside.” Tyson said and jerked his head discreetly towards the opening in the arena. “I managed to convince them that they were minors once I realized what was about to happen to us. They don’t let kids compete. They’ll just sell them at the auction later.”
“So you’ve heard about the Vampire Ring before?”
“Just rumors.”
I asked Willow to relay the message to Eze, Alex’s wolf, since I couldn’t minlink him directly.
Alex looked tense, and I gave him a small nod.
It was time to do something. Tyson wasn’t going to make it in there if he didn’t defend himself. And that meant that innocent people would get hurt, including Tayrin’s dad.
“Let’s see how those sweet little humans manage against a monster like him.” The ring leader chuckled and Tyson glared at him.
“When the bell rings, it’s time to go.”
I whispered to Alex while I mindlinked some instructions to Tyson.
“What are you planning?” Alex asked.
I smirked.
“You’ll see.”
The bell dinged and Tyson shifted, letting Dax out. The black lycan made everyone gasp and their eyes were glued to the center of the arena.
Which meant that they weren’t focused on me.
I quickly got up and moved to the back of the arena, mapping out the positions of the guards.
Showtime.
“Tell Eze that they need to use the commotion to go find Aidan and Tayrin.” I told Willow.
The first werewolves hesitantly moved towards Tyson, and I smiled when he pushed his aura out, immediately forcing them into a bow.

Go!
I activated the quantum field and my combat suit melted onto my body before I sent forcefields towards the guards I could see.
Jumping off the back rest of the seats closest, I floated towards the center of the arena, landing next to Tyson.
“If you wanna get out of here, follow me.” I called out to the contestants that were still standing in the arena.
“It’s the lycan queen!” Someone yelled.
People panicked and scrambled to get out of the arena, running and screaming while guards ran inside to contain the situation.
As if they could ever contain me.
I got to work knocking out the guards while the contestants scurried into a corner. I smiled when I saw Tayrin’s dad push them behind him using his own body as a shield.
“Are you Tayrin’s dad?” I asked.
He stared at me, but nodded.
“She asked me to come save you.” I said while lifting a guard into the air and slamming him into the ground.
“Oh.” He replied.
“Do you know a way out of here?” I asked.
“There’s a way out through the dungeon where they held us.” He replied.
I glanced at Tyson, who shifted back and nodded.
“Let’s go.” I said pushing out forcefields in every direction, giving the contestants the cover fire they needed to run towards the opening in the arena.
I was the last through the tunnel and I could hear Tyson shifting back to Dax, attacking guards standing in our way on the other side. A few short screams later. I saw that the door opened and the contestants started moving through the corridor towards the door.
“Dad!”
I turned to the left and saw Alex, Joey, Aidan and Tayrin appear through a corridor on the side. Tayrin’s dad stopped in his tracks and stared at her.
“Tayrin?” He asked in disbelief and Tayrin ran into his arms.
“How are you here?” He asked and smoothed out her hair with his hand.
“I’ll explain later.” She replied. “But now we need to leave.”
We filed through the door and found ourselves in a parking lot with five trucks parked. Probably to transport the prisoners after the event.
Tyson opened the door to the closest truck and sighed in frustration.
“I don’t suppose you can hot wire a car?” He asked.
I smirked and held out my glowing fingers.
“Easy.” I replied.
I started off two trucks, and everyone got inside while I used my powers to s***h the tires of the rest of the trucks to keep them from coming after us.
“Let’s go!” I shouted.
The trucks started rolling while more guards ran out of the mansion behind us. Alex and Tyson ran up to me and Alex studied the guards coming towards us.
“That’s easily 15 to 1.” He stated and I smiled.
“I like those odds.” I said while Tyson shrugged.
“I’ve faced worse.” He said before shifting back to Dax.
Alex shifted into Eze while I took one last glance at the trucks rolling down the road and let Willow come forward.
“Let’s kick some vampire ass!”
