Chapter 5 April crossed her sweaty arms and continued to shake her head. Fran stared back at her, sweat beading unattractively through the makeup above her upper lip. Or at least April thought Fran was staring. It was impossible to tell through those massive, dark sunglasses. No. She was not going to give in to Fran the way she had so many times over the years. Sometimes because Fran was so relentless that April finally gave up. Sometimes because April flat-out didn’t want to hear any more. But neither of those methods would work. Not today. Not about this. “I don’t understand why you’re being so obstinate, April. I can have someone here the day after tomorrow. Proper movers who will load up all three of these units in a day. Then we’ll get it to St. Louis or Chicago or wherever
