Eleven years later.....
My alarm buzzed continuously, I groaned as I reached to switch the damn thing off.
I rubbed my eyes and let out a loud yawn. I still needed a lot of sleep.
When I mean a lot, I mean like ...a lot.
Aunt Tilda had made me stayed up all night cleaning the grease off the cooker and washing the entire dishes in this big house.
Apparently, I had sneaked off with Josh, my boyfriend who lives two blocks away from me and she got to know about it.
Josh had invited me over to this party. I hadn't wanted to go but I didn't want him to think I'm a loser or just plain Jane.

I had sneaked into Mitchell's room to get any nice clothes and some makeup since I don't own any nice thing.
I had tried on so many dresses but they all seemed too skimpy and short for me to wear. Eventually, I settled for a midnight blue dress. It seemed perfect, although a little still short but I didn't mind.
It was better than the rest. It also looked as if it hadn't been worn in a while because of a couple of dusts it had accumulated.
I had quickly styled my hair into bouncy wavy curls and applied a little makeup. I contemplated on the shoes to wear.
I tried to wear a black stiletto heels but I had changed my mind and settled for the cute black flats I owned.
I checked myself out in the big mirror sitting in the hallway and smiled. I spun around gracefully and gave myself a wink before tiptoeing out of the house.
I could spot josh's car a little further from my house.
I waved my arm in the air, signalling him.
His black expensive Tesla made a reverse and stopped right in front of me.
“Hi baby...” his sweet masculine voice filled my ears.
I giggled, covering my mouth with my palm like a twelve year old talking to her crush for the first time.
Well, he's been your crush since you were twelve....
My subconscious reminded.
I quickly hopped into the car and smiled childishly as he gave me a quick peck. My lips tingled and a strange but nice feeling surged through me.
We zoomed off afterwards and pulled over at a huge white mansion a little close to the outskirt of our town.
It belonged to Andrew's father.
Josh hopped out of his car and slammed the door hard that I winced and felt pity for the car.
I had thought he would open the door for me as I had seen in some of this love movies from the nineties.
I was still contemplating coming out of the car when three blondes cat walked towards him. The one in the middle who seemed like queen of the trio, placed her slender fingers on his chest.
She said something and josh let out a hearty laugh. His brown eyes even twinkled.
She was obviously flirting with him and he didn't seem to mind.
What audacity....
I was blinded by rage and jealousy to the extent that I didn't realize that I had left the car and snatched the blonde's hands away from him. I stared at Josh intensely.
How could he just stand there and allow another woman touch him.
“Well...well...well...” her voice riled me up even more.
I turned to give this nosey blonde a backlash but I choked on my words.
“Shit...” I mumbled. It's Mitchell.
“Well...if it isn't my evil cousin...” she snorted.
A couple of people were now watching as my worst nightmare was about to unfold.
She circled me like a lion will do a weak prey before ripping to shreds.
My feet wobbled and I looked around frantically for Josh. I spotted him making out with a brunette behind a red car.
My heart shattered into tiny bits.
Mitchell's eyes darted towards where I had been looking.
She her lips curved into a sly smile.
She held my hair tightly and turned it towards josh's direction.
I winced and shut my eyes. I couldn't watch anymore.
“You're just one of his many s****l escapades...” she whispered and pushed me to the ground.
She dragged me by hair again, ripping the dress I was wearing.
“You even had the guts to put on my dress...you pathetic witch.” She yelled.
I tried to cover up my now visible under wears but the damage had been done.
Amidst the whole chaos, the golden jewelry I had on my neck since my mom died rattled. I could feel it heat up against my skin.
Before I could process what was happening, my cousin slapped me hard across the face.
Blood spluttered out of my mouth as I gasped in pain.
She spat on me and flounced into the mansion.
I stood up immediately and ran.
I didn't know which direction I was going.
The jewelry on my neck rattled again, this time vigorously.
My skin crawled.
I sensed danger. This was the same feeling I had the day my mom died.
The day the strange woman had clasped this curse on my neck.
I had ran for a while and I was already exhausted.
I looked around, I was few miles away from home.
A tear trickled down my cheeks. Follow by another, and the another,
till I was a crying mess.
A dark figure silhouetted against the street lamp. Its eyes shone crimson red.
My heart leaped with fear and I bolted.
I had only ran a few meters before Josh pulled over his Tesla and gestured for me to get in.
I hesitated at first, but quickly hopped into the car after taking a glance at the figure.
It wasn't there anymore.
I shivered and wrapped my arms across my body.
Josh wanted to say something but I waved my hands to stop him. A fresh pain emanated from my heart.
It felt like a knife twisting into my chest.
I broke into series of sobs, letting out the pain. I had trusted Josh with my whole heart.
He pulled up in front of my house after what seemed like a long ride.
I opened the door quickly and was about to run into the house when I remembered I had sneaked out. Now I have to go through my window.
I turned to meet Josh standing a few pace before me, unfazed with a blank expression.
“All this was a game to me Chelsea... I didn't know it would hurt you this way...”
His sweet voice rang through my ears.
I had always yearned to hear that voice, but not now.
Not tonight.
I watched him leave, never to come back again.

I jolted out of my always reoccurring trances.
My head throbbed.
Damn! this migraine....
I rubbed my temple slowly, trying to calm the throbbing feeling I was having.
The silhouetted figure....
My subconscious reminded me.
I hadn't noticed it yesterday but why did I just notice it now in this trance.
Maybe it's some kind of a clue....remember the last trance you had after your brother died...
My subconscious spoke again.
I was still trying to figure out what all this trance thing was all about when aunt Tilda, my evil aunt, yelled my name on the top of her lungs.
I rolled my eyes and got off my bed, sauntering down the hallway to receive orders from the devil herself.
Another day in hell....
