Epilogue
A year later, Ken was still working at the police department, and more than one officer suggested he become one. Ken liked the idea and started by becoming a reserve, allowing him access to training and to be able to ride with officers on patrol. He liked it and applied to be a regular officer. Of course, Lisa was especially proud and coached him.
Danielle, Ken, and Joel got an apartment together. Danielle went to nursing school and loved it. Joel took writing courses and pursued a writing career. In his full time, he got a good union job driving trucks around the San Francisco Bay Area, and he did well.
