CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED/FOURTY

1665 Words

LEO’S POV My grip on Isabel tightened as those three words replayed over and over in my head. It has begun. What does that even mean? What has begun? I looked down again at Isabel in my arms and breath almost left me. Her eyes, those soft, beautiful eyes that once held warmth and innocence, were now nothing but an abyss of darkness, completely void of life and void of her. It was almost as if I was holding someone else. Something else. She didn't..... She didn't feel like her. She didn't feel like the mate that I knew. “Isabel,” I murmured, shaking her gently. “Isabel, it's me. It's Leo. Listen to me, I don't know what is going on, but whatever this is, you need to fight it. I need you to fight it, Love. Fight it and take your body back. Come back to me, Isabel.” She didn’t respond.
