The moment Alpha Leo barked at me to go inside, my heart sank and I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole just so I could escape the embarrassment.
I had seen his expression though, and he didn't look happy. His face was hard, cold, and filled with an anger I couldn’t comprehend. It was the same look he had the very first day alpha Henri brought me into this pack and introduced us. The one that reminded me of just how small I was in his world even though we were both kids at the time.
