The feeling of unease hadn't left me since the moment those creatures retreated. Something about it didn’t sit right with me. They had been relentless, attacking with so much rage and energy. And then, suddenly just like that, they were gone, vanished. Disappearing into the woods like nothing happened. It felt too convenient if you ask me.
