I stood there, frozen, my heart aching for Caleb as the weight of his words settled heavily on me. His face was impassive, but his eyes were full of pain and that pain showed in his voice as well. I couldn't believe my ears. I couldn't believe I was actually hearing this. And to think he hadn't even told anyone about any of it. He had carried this burden alone the whole time, for far too long.
