I dump the clothes back into the bag, sorted them out, and got a larger suitcase out of the bed. This one I had brought from home when my mother was in the hospital. After I had packed all my own things into the suitcase, my mother came back.
"Alexia, are you here? " Even though Florence is in a wheelchair, she was feeling much better.
"Mom." I walked over to her and hugs her.
"Why do you look bad? Are you sick?" asked Florence worriedly.
"Well, I caught a cold and fever yesterday." I lied and smiled to my mother, "Mama, I want to tell you something."
Florence saw the scarf tied around my neck. The moment she heard me she smiled, "What's the matter?"
"I'm going on a business trip to New York. I don't know how long I'll be there. I may not be able to see you in a few days." I lowered
