“Are we gonna put this in the box as well?”
Meghan asked while raising the box she is holding. It is the box where Papa’s favorite watch is in. We were planning to put it in his casket but mama says that papa surely wants his favorite watch to be with us. She said that Papa told her that he wants one of the boys to cherish it for him once they are older.
“We are not gonna hide that one,” Mama says. She sticks out her hand, asking for the box in which Meghan gave. “This precious one will have to be put in a precious place.”
I watched mama stand up from the floor as she walked towards their walk-in closet. We followed her inside, standing a meter away, as she put the box inside their safe box where important files of the company and dearly cherished things are kept.
