Well, they say that first cut is the deepest I don't know if it's true because I have been cut too many times I no longer remember which one was the deepest. It's funny though I get hurt each and every time I get into a relationship but I keep getting into relationships one after the other. I guess I'm now used to getting hurt. Im simple girl who loves simple things. I get angry a lot but I don't show it most of the times. If I can describe myself I will say I'm soft, very feminine, relaxed, trusting, guard down, submissive and nurturing version of a woman. But to be honest it depends which side I want to show and to who because I can be sassy sometimes. Grrrrr , that's the sound of my alarm, damn it I hate waking up. Unfortunately I have to wake up and go to work that's were my food comes from . So my daily routine is I wake up at 5 , take a bath , eat breakfast and by 7 I will be on my way luckily I don't live far from my work place it's a 20 minutes drive. I move my lazy ass to the bathroom , oouch the water is cold , f**k no guess there is no electricity so there won't be hot water in the water heater. I bath cursing Zesa that is one of the boring thing here in Zimbabwe although we are now using prepaid electricity they can switch off the electricity as if they own it. As Im lotioning myself my bestfriend and work mate Ella calls "Sup , Tessa are you ready for the big day ?" Damnit how can I forget something so important." I guess I am just finishing up will see you at work ", and I hang up. Thank God Ella called just in time I had forgotten that I have a presentation today at work and the CEO would be present. No one has seen him but rumor says that he is sexy as hell. I quickly put on a black slim fit with a v-neck , knee length dress and my black red bottom heels( though they are fake noone will know). I have to look my best today. I tie my hair into a neat bun , I like my hair natural and then a little bit of make up. I grab a milkshake on my way out, I no longer have time for breakfast. Oops I forgot my laptop I run back into the house almost falling down. Wednesdays I don't lock my doors Mrs Shumba come over to clean the house and do laundry. Traffic really sucks during this time a lot of people will be going to work. Im shouting at the driver in front of me he just raises his middle finger and I click my tongue. What was I going to do right now? Probably fix the mess when I get to work. I'm surprised to see the car which was in front of me parking at my work place. I just grab my things and hurry to the office. Ella is waiting for me by the door and she seems a bit annoyed. " What's up with this mess , Tessa ?" I just ignore her and unlock my office door she follows behind waiting for an answer. I'm just not ready to talk about it I'm so worked up already." Sorry besty will tell you later but now I want you to give the IT guys my laptop so that they can set up the projector I will be in conference room in a bit I just want to clean this mess" . She takes the laptop murmuring something to herself I don't really care about that now. Luckily my office is on the ground floor so nobody really noticed me when I passed by the reception, the receptionist was busy typing something otherwise I would have been the talk of this company for a whole f*****g month. I go to the ladies room and look at my messy face in the mirror. So much for wanting a promotion. I start wiping off my dress then my face. I re-apply a bit of make up. Ella calls"Chommie where are you the CEO has arrived and everyone is waiting for you?" "I'm on my way now, is he sexy ?" I ask my besty giggling , she just hangs up on me. I just start laughing I don't know why but one thing for sure is I have got a crazy girlfriend. I walk slowly to the door and open it. Without saying anything we hug each other, tears are flowing uncontrollably, "What have I done Ell , I have just ruined everything my life and my carrier what am I going to do now?" Ella lifts my chin and kisses me on the cheek, " Hey hun you are going to be okay it was just a mistake I bet they are not going to fire you, everyone who was in that room watch porn so it's no biggie." Ella drives me home and we see Mrs Shumba by the gate emptying the kitchen-bin."Hey Tess and Ell , aren't you supposed to be at work this time ?" "Actually Tess is not feeling well so I brought her home." "Get well soon my daughter what can I prepare for you ?" She always call me her daughter and she is a mother I never had." Don't worry mama I will be okay I just need to rest , if I want anything I will tell you." We pass her and continue walking. We go straight to my bedroom and I immediately collapse on my bed. " Just rest here Tessa will come and check on you after work and don't worry you going to be okay." She closes the door behind her and I'm now alone with my sorrow. I try to think what had really happened in that conference room and who was that person I had bumped onto on my way out. I could still smell his strong, masculine scent. Maybe he was one of IT guys who cares I have bigger problems than him.

Im so frustrated with my mom how can she tell me to go home after all she is the one who had said that I should manage the Zimbabwean businesses. I don't even understand this woman sometimes she treats me like I'm not his son as. She wants me to jump to every thing that she tells me. And the worst part is she also controls my dad. Actually she is the head of the house. I laugh at that sometimes. How can a 65 - years old man be bullyied by a 37- years old woman. Hai ! What a family. People think that we are this perfect family they see on tv , newspaper and internet. Only if they knew what happens inside. After the call from my mom I decide to go back to the conference room there was a presentation from the advertising department. I was already frustrated but I had to go because I was the CEO. I see someone crying coming in my direction, I try to avoid her but she bumps into me and continues walking. What kind of a lady does that? I guess she was crying. I hear people making noise and I want to know what the commotion is all about. I turn to see what was on the projector. I couldn't believe my eyes what was happening. The IT guys then switched the projector when they noticed that I was looking at them. I clear my voice to get people's attention. " I want all the head of the advertising department in my office right now!" I see a middle-aged man standing and walking towards me . I start walking going to the elevator, he was behind me." Goo-d morn-ing Sir ?" I could see the poor man trembling. "I'm good thanks." When we reach my office I offer him a seat and I sit on the mohagany desk. " Now explain to me what was that all about, what kind of presentation was that ?" " I'm sorry Sir but I don't know I gave Miss Tessa Ncube the assignment to present but I think she made a mistake sir please for us ." "And where is this Miss Tessa Ncube?" "Let me call her office sir, excuse just one minute." He excuses himself and go outside. Inside I really want to laugh my lungs out. I call my drive it really sucks I don't have a Zimbabwean license so I can't drive myself. Im one of those people who don't what to interact with the police. My driver reminds me of this crazy lady in the morning who was shouting because the driver had stopped at a red robot. Who in their right minds shouts like that so early in the morning. I guess she is crack- head. We arrive at club 40 around 1. I ask my driver to join me unfortunately he refused so it's going to be me drowning all my sorrows. I had fallen asleep when Mrs Shumba knocked on my door. " Hy Tess , I'm leaving so I wanted to check on you before I go , I have prepared your favorite dish and it's the microwave, will see you next week ." I check the time on my phone gosh it's already 3 pm time flies." Okay mama thank you, you should have waken me up what if I had died in my sleep. I splash water on my face. My phone starts ringing, jeez who is calling me. I smile when I see the name , " Hey love I heard what happened at work today , are you okay , should I come over?" " Dude chill I'm okay ." " Okay love just wanted to check on you Ella told me that you were crying your lungs out " , he says laughing .
