I watch Hera walk away. Her steps are slow and wobbly, a clear indication that she is shaken.
My heart twists painfully as I watch her. I can’t just chase after Hera even though that's the only thing I am thinking about right now. I can't leave everything behind. Everyone who is here came to help me send off the mother of my child. It would be inappropriate to leave them and run after Hera. But why do I feel like this moment of confusion and hesitation is going to cost me?
The air feels heavy and cold. Hera's gun pointed at my brother Finn, keeps replaying in my mind.
Her voice saying he is Eagle,the man from her nightmare, the one who hurt her, who ran that trafficking gang. My stomach churns. Finn is not like that. He is my brother, rough around the edges but loyal. Hera h
