I sit back on my heels, my hands covered in her blood, my mind spinning.
I turn to look at Chloe who has Lily completely covered with her body.
Nyx approaches me and pats my shoulder. I should hate Linda for putting Lily through so much pain but she didn't deserve to be silenced in such a horrible way.
The person didn't want any loose ends so he must have made sure she didn't whisper out his name. What scares me even more is the fact that he was wearing the shadow rider's patch. That was not Snake of course. The person was well built unlike Snake's small frame.
“Hera,” Nyx calls, her voice snapping me out of my trance. “We need to move. That shooter could come back. And we don’t know what’s happening with Mason.” She reminds me.
