“MG, I'm sorry about acting without your permission.” Nyx apologizes, her head bowed. She might be apologizing but I know she's not remorseful deep down.
“It's good that you acknowledge your mistake.” I reply.
“I won't punish you this time but don't let that happen again I had and she lifts her face to look my way.
“Those ungrateful bastards dared to accuse you after you saved their asses. I couldn't just sit down and let them do that to you.”she protests that the typical Nyx I know.
“I could have handled it myself. Do you think I would let somebody wrong me?” I bite back and she lowers her head again.
“Forget it, I don't want to talk about that now. I need to hear why and how Carlos and that bastard Hector Luca manage to escape alive?”
