Carla stood right before the house where her GPS lead to. Did she really wanna do this? There is a door one side, her and the another side, a bunch of shithead bullies. She clenched her phone and decided to go her way; away from the door.
"Look who we got here!" Oh no... That's the queen of shithead, Martha.
"Are you lost little baby?" It's her side b***h Lara.
"Sorry I think I stepped on s**t. Don't worry am on my way shitheads" she just turned away and hit herself in a pillar... Wait no it's Jake. Carla walked pass him.
"Hey wait there" Carla stopped on her tracks. Something in his voice is so... Mesmerizing?
"What's your deal with her Martha?" Jake stated.
"Really with her? Come on I have standards to deal with" Lara giggled on her b***h queen's reply.
Carla really can't see Jake's face but what she can see is Martha's face. She never saw her this scared. Lara dragged her into the house. When Jake turned to see Carla his face was so calm and charming, there's nothing to terrify.
"Welcome to my Party Carla"
"You know my name?"
"Ofcourse after today's encounter I learned a lot of things" Jake smiled at her. But Carla didn't. She zipped her lips tight.
"Don't worry. Am not here to judge you. Infact I have to know about you. So here I am. Let's talk"
"I don't think I can talk to anyone whom I just met"
"Hey" his voice suddenly gets so low and deep. Carla looked into his eyes.
"Talk to me" it came more like an order that she couldn't deny. She nodded and he took her to backyard. While passing the crowd she sensed bunch of people who used to bully her on school are staring at her like a prey. Deep inside she felt safe as long as she's with Jake and she never felt that way before.
They came to a hault under crotons bush. Jake handed her the drink and had one for him.
"So?" He looked into her eyes.
"So..." Carla nearly whispered.
"What happened? Why are you enjoying 'the suicide'"
"Oh that's... That's... I had nothing to enjoy in my life. So I decided to let it go" Carla didn't look serious at all. She answered it like a common question.
"Hey... Did you ever try to get therapy?" Jake's eyes are filled with concern.
"Do you think therapy really help? No Jake... They don't... I had therapy for like an year but it didn't worked. Drugs are not solution for this Jake"
"Neither suicide Carla"
"Why do you care? I don't want anyone to care. You can't be with me all time. Who knows how you'll act tomorrow on school. My life's a f**k Jake. After my dad passed away... I lost everything. He is... He took something from me. I can't feel a thing Jake. You know the therapist said I have emotional numbness and the tablet to cure is a drug. My dad hate drugs so I dropped those tablets" she stared on the sky sipping her drink and talking those heart-weighing subject like a speech.
"What about your mom? She needs you Carla"
"No she don't. All she need is a glass of vodka to live. That's it"
"Don't you want to help her?"
"I don't give a damn about her Jake"
Jake went silent. They both are. There's rustling sound of wind and a faint noise of chattering with mild music on background. It's a perfect starry night.
"You know what Jake, I never talked about my stuff to anyone but I don't know why I share these things to you"
"Did you felt great?" Jake leaned a bit to her.
"No. I still feel nothing. Am hopeless Jake you can't find anything in my eyes. They are dead" Carla stare straight to Jake's eyes. Jake gazed but he really can't find anything in her eyes. No, it can't be. How could a person's eyes felt so dead like this. Is she really that hurt? How could that possible.
"Hey your girlfriend's coming. She won't like me here any longer. Let's see you soon" Carla stood and dusted her back. But Jake was not done yet.
"Hey wait... But... We are not..."
"Thanks Jake but enough" just like that she walked away. This time he can't stop her. For the first time he felt defeated.
"Hey honey, I sensed that you finally realised that you waste a lot of fun" Jake didn't give a glance on Martha.
"Come on babe. I'll show you fun" she sat on his lap wrapped her leg around his hip and whispered in his ears. Jake pulled Martha away and stand abruptly from his place.
"If I ever smell you doing fishy. You'll get that you don't want to" Martha clearly know what Jake is mentioning. She just laid there on grass staring as he walking into his room.
