Egyn looked around, her eyes opened into slits as the sounds amongst her sounded muffled. She seemed at home in a stillness that was familiar but she didn’t realize what it was yet. The water serpent attempted to open her eyes more but they felt heavy and the effort made her feel tired again. Instead she listened, her heart beat slow and steady.
