Dragons in the Rain

Zirri's hunt for the elusive male phasiline that she had been tracking down for months had settled off the coast in a city called Yhona in Aksala. She had spent months tracking down this underwater serpent-like beast who was as elusive as they came. Zirri was determined to have him though, as well as she promised her female phasiline that she wouldn’t stop until she got him for her. She was close. The last time she had faced off with this specific phasiline he got away narrowly which frustrated Zirri enough to track him across Detinu to Aksala.     It was storming but Zirri was determined and would not let a storm stop her when she was so close to catching her prey. When she had found him recuperating in some dark underwater cavern she had to use all of her beast soul energy to finally tame him. So she had gone out and finally caught the damned beast. Her adrenaline was racing through her veins as she walked through the forest she had to trek through since that was the closest place to the cavern when she made it to the surface. She could hear the thunder crackling as lightning seemed to be drawn to the forest. The wind had picked up since she had gone underwater a couple of hours prior. Her older brothers,Zinno and Reese, would kill her if they knew she let herself be caught in such a bad storm.     The rain was not letting up but it did not bother her at all. She raked her hair through her neon orange neck length hair and enjoyed how the rain felt on her cool honey skin. The half worn wetsuit and bikini top showed her daeva marking which were just a few shades darker than her above her belly button, hands, feet, and over her left eye. Aside from the markings the other clues to her being a daeva were her black sclera and white pupils of her eyes, as well as her black bat-like wings. She didn’t have horns like her brothers but she still looked the part of Daeva royalty. Funny how because of their appearance and power, when humans existed, they were called devils and demons. It was funny because controlling demons was the one thing Daevas excelled at.     She had found herself passing a clearing and something beautiful. Lying in the clearing was a beast of massive proportions. Scales were a midnight blue that looked black. From the way it was lounging she could see that the underside of its jaw and underbelly was teal. It had large arms and legs and sharp claws and dangerously elongated spikes that came to sharp points at the knee and elbows. These same spikes could be seen on its shoulders. His large horns went back with only a slight curve in them and was covered in the same scales on his body. There was turquoise spikes that went from the crown of its head, over its back, and down to the tip of its tail where it spread in a fin like shape. His large wings had the same midnight blue skeletal look but the wing itself looked transparent in the same teal color as his underbelly. The edges of his wings looked as if there was electricity flowing to the center. His body took up most of the ridculously large clearing. She had never seen a beast as beautiful as this one. She couldn’t leave without at least attempting to tame him.     She thought quickly. She still could not use her beast souls so she was going to have to go with her own power. No force was possible and looking at the large dragon she feared none of her belove beast would be up for the challlenge right now. She walked slowly towards the dragon as quietly as she could as to not alarm the beast and get blasted to hell. She knew she could not approach a dragon with a forceful attack. They were greedy bastards who enjoyed nice things and nice words. She had no idea what kind of dragon this was but if she could get its beast soul she would have the most beautiful dragon soul she had ever seen even if she couldn’t keep him. She assumed the dragon was a male since he was on the bigger side and muscle definition seemed more masculine.     She was a princess so she had many nice things to offer the dragon if he would allow it. If she could make him passive to her she could tame his beast soul and possess it. She wanted it. Even though she was exhausted from taming the Phasiline she wanted to try to get to this dragon. She had gotten pretty close to the dragon at this point and he seemed to be asleep. As the lightning brightened the sky and thunder boomed and shook the earth the dragon seemed to be relaxed and at total peace as he slept as the rain poured down on him unforgivingly.     She got up to his large head and almost froze. His eyes were open. They were green and as striking as jade itself and the reptilian eyes gazed at her. He had not moved despite her creeping up to him. She could not imagine what he was thinking but she grew more excited as he lifted his head to look down on her. “You are gorgeous.” she said loud enough to be heard, she hoped anyway. “I’ve never seen a dragon like you before.” she said in awe.     This only got her a loud unimpressed snort from the dragon. Zirri scowled but quickly fixed her expression to a gentle smile. “I just wish to spoil you dear dragon. I am a princess you see and I would love to give you whatever would please you. Just be with me, let me tame you.” she said intensely as the excitement rushed to her head. Her generous offer was met with a loud roar that had she not had the uncanny ability to remain up on her feet in all situations she would have toppled over from the force of his roar. He then snorted his nose at her before turning over and laying facing away from her.     Zirri was appalled not only did he rudely reject her he turned his back on her as if she was not any threat to him at all. She huffed and at this time she prepared to force the stubborn dragon to at least listen to her offer. He was supposed to be greedy, how does a greedy dragon pass up a princess who is offering him anything? The dragon's were a species who had nearly been killed off in the Great Dragon Wars but it was known that the few that were left were supposed to be greedy hoarders. She walked around to his face again but this time she bravely drew closer and reached out for his long snout. She touched him and could feel an electric heat radiating from the beast growling at her now. “Listen big guy I don’t know if you know what I am offering you. My name is Zirri and I am a princess. I can give you whatever you want and you can have as much as you want. I’ll even find you a cave to put it in and guard if you want it.” she said rudely, keeping her hand on his head. She could feel her skin had adapted as she was touching him and had hardened like steel to avoid being cut. He answered her by flicking his large head one way sweeping her off her feet and then tossing her away from him. Zirri landed on her feet and now she was angry. She raced back towards him now furious at being tossed away like annoying trash. Stubborn beast would not treat her this way!     The dragon apparently had had enough of her attention and was now standing. He spread his wings and as he turned she used the crystals on his tail to run up and on to his back. When she got up there however she felt him flying upwards and the mere force that gravity and the heavy rain placed on her as he shot up flattened her down on his scaled back near one of the crystals on his back. When he reached a reasonable altitude she took that moment to get on her feet. Her balance being even better on her feet than anything. She had not expected the burst of speed this large dragon had taken. When he took off forward there was a sound like a thunder clap or a sonic boom. The rain almost felt like bullets as they pelted by the rain at such a break neck speed. Her body soon adjusted to the assault on her body and hardened as it did when she had touched the dragon.     Zirri began her ascent to the head of the dragon who she knew had realized she had caught a ride with them. A deafening roar was heard as the dragon began to spin violently in the air. Zirri stopped walking as he spun. She never got dizzy so she would just wait all this spinning out before she continued her trek so she could tell the dragon how rude he was. When he finally stopped spinning and spread his large wings and she noticed they had flew completely out of the storm. She was sure that the storm had covered the entire city of Yhona there was no way he had gotten out of such a big city so fast. She smiled as another thrill ran through as she walked up further. “You’re a fast one aren’t you.  I love it” she said excitedly as she ran the rest of the way before he decided to spin again. Once she got close enough she sat and straddled his neck so she could sit close to him, She could feel all the electricity coming off him and when she touched the crystals she could feel herself being shocked. Even her bright orange hair that was usually straight rose in wavy tendrils around her.  Her body adapted and gave her body the same properties as copper making her cool honey skin the color of copper so the electricity would flow through her without hurting her. He shook his head but she could not be budged as she held on tightly to him. “Listen you stubborn ass of a beast you had no right to toss me around like that. I don’t care if you are a dragon I am a princess and I deserve to be treated better. You can apologize by surrendering your beast soul.”     He replied to this by doing large circles repeatedly in the sky. He had tried to get her off of him but it was still not working. She simply clung to him as he did everything he could to shake her off. She knew it was impossible but she is sure enjoying him trying to shake her off. She giggled gleefully as he whipped around the sky at a speed she had never experienced before. “Faster go faster. Is the big bad dragon unable to get me off his back? Try harder!” she encouraged and could feel his roar under her body. She held on as the Sonic boom was heard again and the speed they were going took her breath away. She was having the time of her life right now. She needed to have this dragon.     She could feel her stomach tighten as the dragon speed slowed again and he headed down. She felt like she was on a rollercoaster experiencing the highest possible drop. He was heading towards the ground spinning like a bullet. However, as she expected he pulled up at the last minute and it felt like they were suspended in the air before he flew down slowly and he landed in some dessert oasis.  When they landed she sighed “You done already?” Zirri whined as she stood. With a huff and a final shake, trying one last ditch effort to get her off of him, he then dropped to his belly. He rolled over onto his back but she simply walked with the roll and now stood on his teal underbelly.      She watched as his body began to transform and grew smaller. He had a humanoid form so he wasn’t a wild dragon. That would make him much harder to tame. She soon found herself hovering over a naked man between her legs. He had gone from gorgeous dragon to gorgeous man within a few seconds. He had warm walnut skin and even with him lying below her she could tell the man was tall and fit. His hair was teal and wavy on top but cut low with tapered ends and slits on the side.He had a full beard that was slightly darker teal than the hair on his head. He has a fit muscular body that was covered in various tattoos from his neck down to his feet. He wasn’t tattooed everywhere but about 70% is covered in tattoos and since he was naked she could see all of them as she looked down at him. His green reptilian dragon eyes scowled up at her. “Move.” he said rudely in a low booming voice.     Zirri felt the wind from his command which was powerful enough to blow her hair back. She moved one foot towards the other and now stood beside him, feet together, and staring at him. He got to his feet and stood in all his naked glory. She was 5’10 herself and he had a few inches on her, she would guess 6’3. He was a muscular sexy canvas for all the tattoos covering him. She also couldn’t help but notice that the large man also had a large p***s even though it was flaccid. She was impressed and a little mesmerized. “Stop staring.” he growled out, making Zirri’s eyes shoot back to his face. She scowled back at him. “If you don’t want me to look then you should probably put some clothes on.” “You wouldn’t even be here to stare at me if you hadn’t jumped on me. What kind of spoiled b***h princess are you to ride a dragon without their permission.” he said angrily as he made a bag appear in front of him. It seemed to be streaming from his body in a black liquid haze. He opened the bag with an aggressive yank on the zipper and pulled out some clothes. Zirri watched him drop the bag once his clothes were securely in his hand. By the time the bag had hit the ground and she looked back at him he was standing before her fully clothed. She was amazed at the speed he was moving since she had seen nothing that had happened right before her very eyes.“I should break your little ass neck. What kind of princess are you?” he asked again.     Zirri did not cower as most women probably do when his temper flared up. That only seemed to ignite his anger. “A Daeva Princess is who I was born to be but a beast hunter is what makes me get up everyday. I want you to be my dragon.” “Your dragon?! Are you out of your f*****g mind woman? I want nothing to do with you. Do you think you can tame me? well think again, I am not going to be tamed by the likes of you  or anyone dammit.” The angry dragon man was ranting again. “I could give you anything you could ever need.” she prompted trying to tempt him again. “Are you deaf or f*****g dumb?” He growled out “I am not some damn pet. I will not be tamed by anyone especially not some f*****g princess who can’t seem to take a hint. I don’t need anything from you.” he sneered as he walked away from her. She quickly made her way around him to block his path again. “Why are you being so difficult?” “Why are you being so persistent.” “If I gave up on every beast that snarled at me I would have no beasts.” she said simply. By the look on his face he was suppressing one of those snarls right now. “I want you and that's all that matters to me.  You’re the most amazing dragon I’ve seen. I’ve never seen one like you. Do you belong to any particular clan?” She tried to think about any marks that might indicate which clan he was from, but she had been distracted by all the tattoos. She could see him stiffen before he walked past her towards the small lake of clear water.  She followed behind him. “I am trying to be patient with you dragon.” “You can shove your patience up your ass lady.” he said before kneeling at the water and used his hands to scoop up a handful of water to drink. “Such a rude dragon.” “Such an annoying princess.” standing facing her. “Do you not agree with my royal status or something?” she asked getting annoyed  “I have nothing against royalty. I just don’t like you.”  he said before walking past her again. Zirri narrowed her eyes at him as she slightly frowned. He truly was stubborn but she was determined to have him. “You can learn to like me.” “I don’t want to like you, pushy ass broad.” he stood before her. After a little while he snorted and before she knew what was happening she was being thrown in the small lake. She scowled at his smirking form “You’re dressed for swimming anyway.” he said with a shrug. He began to walk away from her and she got up quickly to catch up with him. Seeing this he looked over his shoulder and said “So long princess.” he said before there was a boom and all the sand near him shot up. Once the sand cleared Zirri was amazed to find that he had completely vanished. There was a trail of sand that was settling behind him. He even ran fast in humanoid form. A shiver of anticipation ran over her “Until next time my dragon.”
