The butlers brought intoxicated and unconscious Vixon as Lady Ludwig requested while the maids cleaned the dining table. Lady Ludwig smiled as she ascended the stairs to the second floor, to where Vixon was. Half an hour later, Vixon barely opened his eyes. His head felt heavy and dizzy because of the alcoholic beverage. His sight was also blurry, as he couldn’t see everything clearly. He was inside a vast chamber lit by lanterns and candles. It had a compact fireplace, a bookshelf, a wardrobe, several vases, and a curtained king-size bed. Paintings, portraits, and an animal trophy of a black bear's head decorated the wall.
