I gasp in shock and shake my head as I step back away from the cell.
“No, you’re lying. You have to be.” I say and he looks at me completely heartbroken.
“I wish I were. I called my parents on the way here, wanting them to tell me he was lying. But he wasn’t. He was in a relationship with my mom. She said that one night after you know.” He shudders and I know what he means, so I chuckle.
“Yeah, I know, go on.” I say and he looks at me.
“She asked him who Sorcha was. Apparently, he was saying her name during it. He lost it with her and struck her, calling her a w***e and saying my mom would never mean anything to him.
