Chapter 2

So after leaving him right outside my math class, I sat down in my chair to contemplate what just happened and realized that I probably could have been a little bit friendlier and not so cold, but what am I supposed to do. I am so confused and lost. I know my mom wanted me to go to school and to complete college but really and truthfully, why? I'm supposed to find a mate, but what if I do see a mate and I am drawn to him. I can imagine what we have kids and when my kids have to be raised in this lifelike what uncle wants him to and the general. The teacher speaks up, "all right, ladies and gentlemen, it's time for a class; please put away your cell phones." which always makes me chuckle because everyone was always on their cell phones besides me I have one, but I don't like to be on it to me it's a distraction I have to stay focused on the task, and that is to complete college get trained and be prepared for war or a mission. I wonder if I will soon know I'm supposed to teach all summer with my brother, but they usually do get called on a mission; why can't I this time might as well jump in it right? My math teacher rambled on about the exam coming up next week. I'm a little nervous because my English and my math exam are on the same day, so I'll be here for a while. Math has always come easy to me, but English never has, so I'm more nervous about English than I am about the math exam. For some reason, I'm always anxious to take exams. I think it's because it's more complex when I have an exam for training, and if I fail, they torture me. Hence, I get used to the pain, which I pretty much already do not affect me like a typical werewolf, nor my family trained to handle pain doesn't affect me oddly. My teacher called on me and asked me a simple math question which I didn’t respond with a quick answer. He smiled at me it said, “I hope the exam is easy for you, Miss. Tait." So smile back while nodding my head to reassure him yes, I am prepared. I looked around the classroom. A couple of students had their phones out still, and most and she put their phones away once I answered the question. I believe they realize they were not prepared, but I think Leah, the girl up front, was prepared; she's reticent and shy but is very smart. I was to make a friend; it would be her she seems so kind and not dim-witted. As my math teacher continued in class, I took a lot of notes since we learned something new today. When I decided to pause to look out the window, I was slightly shocked to see the man that talked to me earlier staring through the window. When he realized I saw him, he quickly stepped away from the window and walked back to the parking lot. This didn't seem right to me, nor did it settle well with me, so I packed my stuff up before class was over and left the room to follow after him. Technically my protocol was to call either my uncle or my brother to inform him of the situation that I figured there's no harm yet to report, so I proceeded to the parking lot. With every step I took, I was cautious. I looked around to see if anyone was following me or caught my attention that didn't seem like they belonged there. Once I finally looked to my right, I noticed the guy from earlier; he was getting into his car, but he saw me before fully entering his vehicle. He looked at me, mortified this time, and spit off quickly. My instinct was to mind link my uncle but remembered he is still on a mission with my brother; they should be back by the end of the week, so I decided to mind link the general instead. “General do you copy”-Kyra-I waited a minute for a response. “Is everything okay, Kyra?”-The General- “I'm fine, but I have an incident a young man approached me today didn't seem too harmless at the time, but I noticed that he lingered on by my classroom and was looking inside the room at me, so I attempted to follow him.”-Kyra- “That is interesting. Did you catch him?”-The General- “No, he got in his car and took off pretty fast; when he realized I was following him, I didn't want to make a scene at the college.”-Kyra- “Was the guy familiar at all?”-The General- “He's been in my English course since the beginning of the semester, but he's never attempted to talk to me before.”-Kyra- “Well, your uncle and your brother should be back today, so next class, your brother will go with you, but he will keep his distance.”-The General- I pause to contemplate if that will make a scene or not. But the general said so. “Yes, sir.”-Kyra- When I got to the school, I realized I was already locked. So I turned around to look at my classroom and notice everyone was leaving, so I decided to walk to my car. Before I got to my car, I stopped and turned around to walk back to my classroom to talk to my teacher to see if he gave any assignments. He must have needed to go somewhere quickly, so I decided to walk back to my car, but I saw Leah before I got to it. I figured I could ask her for this assignment, so I approached her. "Hello, Miss. Leah, could I ask you something?" I asked while waiting for a response. "Um... Hi... um. Of course, “She responded so quietly and nervously. “I how to leave the classroom a little early for something, but I wasn't 100% sure if there was an assignment given," I asked. "Um... no, there wasn't," she answered but was looking around like something was going to happen. So I sniffed the air and smelt something rotten. I started to stare back at her, a little confused. “Are you okay?" I said firmly, feeling a little on edge. "Um ... yeah, I am just waiting for someone," she said with a non-convincing tone. So I didn't want to press it, so I just smiled. "Okay, have a good rest of your day Leah." She gave me a quick smile and practically jogged away for me. I was slightly taken aback by this response, so I decided to walk to my car slowly while being precocious. Once I got to my car, I sat down to look for her again to see anything, but then the smell got stronger. It smelled like death like something died, so I left around my car and didn't see anything, so I popped the trunk. I got out of my car to walk to my chest, and the smell got much worse. Once I opened it, there was a dead baby deer. I instantly slammed it shut and looked around and make sure no one saw. What the hell is this someone has a death wish. “General?”-Kyra- “What is it Kyra?”-The General- “Someone put a dead baby deer in my trunk. Heading to you now, Sir.”-Kyra- At that point, I was already in my car driving away, and he did not respond since there was none needed to provide. Then I decided to call my brother. Did they see the exact time they would be back? "Hey, brother, when will you be home?" I instantly asked without any hello. "In the next two hours. Why sis?" He replied with curiosity. “I need to train and blow off some steam," I answered. "Really? It can't wait for tomorrow." He answered while laughing. “Yes, someone left a baby deer in my truck, and there was a suspicious guy from my English class. I didn't like the fact I got no scent from him." I said with a more annoyed tone. "Okay, be there at head base soon," he answered like it was all business. So I hung up my phone without a response. Then continue driving to headquarters, which is also called Head base. I think the term head base is weird but general persistent in naming it slightly different than headquarters. Once I got two heads based, I opened the trunk for the public, who was already waiting outside for me. He looked at the deer and then looked up at me. "You don't smell nothing?" "Nothing but death, Sir," I responded with a proper composure. He wants to be silent for a minute, assuming he was mind linking my brother or my uncle. “Your brother is on all fours running here. He should be here shortly. My brother was one of the fastest runners in his ranking. I studied the general’s face since he seemed slightly concerned about me. "Go wait inside, Miss. Tait." So I stiffened my back up and hesitated to respond. "Um. I mustered out. Yes, sir." "Excuse me, Miss. Tait." he snapped at me. "Yes, Sir." I corrected myself with a much firmer tone. The gentle does not like any hesitation, especially the word. Um, he has no toleration for it. So I then proceeded to the building to sit in the main lounge. I then realized I needed to use the restroom, so I got up and headed to the toilet. By the time I had gotten out of the bathroom, I had looked through the windows to where my car was, but before I sat down, I saw my brother arrive. I was so excited to see him. I wanted to run out there and hug him, and it's been a good month since I knew him, but I knew I couldn't since he was talking to the general, so I slowly sat down while observing the conversation and trying to hear them. The general knows I have excellent hearing compared to most werewolves, so he was smart enough to be extremely quiet to where I could have him. I sat there for what seemed like forever, but it was only 10 minutes then I saw the general and my brother approaching the front doors. I stood up to see why they came inside the gates without even stopping or looking at me; the general said, "Follow Miss Tate." so I listened and followed. I walked alongside my brother, who glanced down at me and smiled while nudging me jokingly.
