“Ana!”

The loud voice of a lady forced me to sit up on the bed, panting in a bid to catch my breath.

Goodness lord.

I wiped my face with one of my hands and looked up to meet an angry looking Lisa in the space.

Alpha Tyler was already awake, standing beside her.

“What did you do?” She asked shouting, but I didn’t reply, instead I looked at Alpha Tyler, but he didn’t say a word.

“What the f**k did you do to the Alpha, Anastasia?” She asked again, shouting like a mad woman.

“I didn’t do anything my lady” I replied bowing my head.

“How did I get here, Ana? ” He finally asked, heading to the bedside.

What? What did he mean, how did he get here?

“What did you do to me?”

What was he saying?

For goodness’s sake!

Did I drag the Alpha into the space if he did not walk with his legs?

“It was you, my lord—”

“Don't you dare speak when I speak!” He shouted and I kept mute.

“You added something to my meal when you gave it to me last evening. What did you put in my drink?”

How could he say that to me?

Does that mean that all of those things he said were not meant?

He doesn't love me, does he?

I turned around and looked at my shattered self in the mirror, hating the fact that I fell for the words of a man who was nothing more or less than being drunk.

“My lord—” I turned to face him after a while.

“You must believe me. I did not do a thing to you. It was you who walked into my chamber in the middle of the night.”

“Shut up!” Lisa shouted,“ how dare you filthy thing accuse my husband of coming into your chambers?”.

“My lord, we should summon the elders immediately and know the punishment for this” She added and Alpha Tyler nodded.

“Guards!”

“No!” I knelt immediately.

“You can't do this to me, my lord. I didn't do anything.” I said but he ignored me.

Two guards entered the room. “You, go and inform the elders to assemble in the judgment room immediately” Alpha Tyler said.

Judgment room?

No, this can’t be happening.

The judgment room was for people that committed atrocities, but what wrong did I commit.

“Alpha Tyler, you have to believe me. You came here in your will, have you forgotten what happened last night”.

“Shut your mouth you slut, you think by adding substance to his drink he would like you? You must be joking. Just pray to the moon goddess that your punishment is not death”. Lisa replied instead, while Alpha Tyler looked at me with a look I couldn’t decipher.

How could he do this to me?

I gave him my virginity just to get this in return. Why was I this stupid?

Alpha Tyler summoned his beta and he walked in the room.

“Good morning, my lord,” The beta greeted. He looked at me, then the Alpha before looking around the room and on the bed.

“What shall I do for—?” He stopped and looked again, shaking his head and looking at the door the next moment.

“Where was I last night?”

“In—your room, Alpha, Tyler,” he replied. “You talked about meeting with the men of the pack in the early hours of today.”

“Good,” the Alpha nodded. “Did you see me walk out of my room and arrive at this room during nighttime?”

“I did not see a thing like that,” the man cried and asked the next moment. “What is going on here?”

“This woman here—” he still paced the room. “—added a substance to my meal before it was given to me last night—”

“I didn't do it!” I shouted, wishing he would believe me.

How can he spew these things?

How can he not recall the sweet names he called me last night?

Why did he act as though the night we had was not a pleasurable one? Was he so drunk and lost in his head?

“Take her to the judgment room immediately!”

The guard, without wasting time, walked to the spot where I was and on the floor.

He bent low and picked me up with one hand before holding me with two of his hands and headed out of the space.

“I didn't do it.” I shouted while I was being dragged out of the room.

I heard the door shut and footsteps behind us, knowing already it was none other than the Alpha who was walking with us and ready to see me burn to death.

Weakness came over me by the time we arrived at the judgement room. One push of his hands and I fell on the grounds of the compound, struggling with my breath and uncertain about what would happen next.

Is this my end?
