This was a dream come true, Alpha Tyler was my mate…My life was finally going to turn around but wait his facial expression.

Was it disgust?

Hate?

Fear?

I couldn’t detect but it sure didn’t look good and then he spoke up.

“The moon goddess has to be playing pranks with me”.

“Why the f**k are you smiling you piece of trash? Why are you happy?” He asked shouting and drawing attention to where we were standing.

No this can’t be happening, I was too weak for all this drama.

“What did you think? That I will accept you? An omega like you is a burden to our pack talk more of becoming the Luna."

"You're a disgrace to our kind!" "Even the smallest pup has more value than you, omega scum!"

His green eyes were literally spitting fire and they held nothing but hate and disgust, which was all directed at me.

I’ve always had people hating me my whole life and I’ve learned to no be bothered by their hatred for me, but this time was different, this wasn’t just anybody talking to me, this was my mate, the only person that had ajways been kind to me and seeing much he looked at me with so much hatred broke my heart.

I never expected to have a mate, but each time it crosses my mind, I had hope that my mate will love and cherish me but who am I to hope, my fate is cursed and it seemed as if I will never experience happiness.

“Stop, please” I managed to say already in tears.

I used to think he liked me,why was he saying all these awful words. My stomach was rumbling in hunger and I was too weak to even defend myself.

He successfully gathered a crowd and alll eyes were on me waiting for what next the Alpha would say, deeep down I already knew what was coming but I prayed it wouldn’t.

“The moon goddess has made a grave mistake. It is left for us to correct, isn’t it?” He laughed and the crowd did the same.

My heart ached at this point and I could help but being a hand to touch my chest area. “We can’t refuse the moon goddess, they must be a reason we are mated”.

The bond we shared was stronger. Even on the floor and in tears, I could feel it very much. “My lord- don’t do this to me”.

“You cannot be my mate!”

“Why? I would train, I would do anything but please don’t reject me” I cried in tears.

Did he have to ridicule me this way in the presence of people?

I managed to stand on my feet. “I thought you liked me?” I asked my voice barely a whisper.

“Never! I only had sympathy for you but that won’t make me accept you as my mate. Have you checked yourself lately? Did you forget you are almost wolfless and such a person cannot be my Luna. You’re not fit for that position”.

I could not utter a word anymore, I guess I mistook sympathy for likeness.

“Having you as a mate is like a curse and I refuse to accept this curse!”. He spat and I instantly knew what was coming next.

“I, Alpha Tyler of the moon crest pack, rejects you Annabel, as my mate and I shall have nothing to do with you, now or ever”.

And that was it, I felt a sharp pain in my heart and I slowly dropped to my knees, groaning in pain.

“Being rejected my an Alpha must be brutal” He said and I raised my head to look at him.

“From now henceforth you’ll work in the palace as a maid” He said again before walking out leaving me in pain.

TWO WEEKS LATER

Believe me when I said my life turned from worse to worsers. It was as if I was brought to this word to suffer.

I was assigned as Lisa personal maid, I was to serve her at all times and she made my life a living hell.

“The Luna asks that you bring her food to her chambers” one of the maidens said and I hooded.

Yes, after rejecting me, Alpha Tyler married his sweetheart Lisa saying she was his perfect Luna, it hurts bit what could I say. A poor omega like me had no say.

I hurriedly went to her took with her food to avoid trouble. I dropped it on her dining table and when about to leave before she stopped me.

“What the hell did you serve me?” She asked shouting like a mad woman.

“I’m sorry Luna, this was what the chef prepared” I replied bowing my head in sign of respect.

“Come closer!”

I didn’t want to cause I feared what she might do but disobeying her orders was going to get me into trouble.

I walked closer and then she did something unspeakable. She poured the hot soup on my body and I screamed in pain.

“What is going on here?” A familiar voice said.

"What is going on here? Alpha Tyler repeated again staring dangerousely at Lisa, his luna.

"Nothing important my love, Ana here was been careless with the soup so it poured on her" She lied.

Alpha Tyler looked ata me with a look I couldn't decipher, Infact this was the first time I was seeing him since he rejected me and turned me to a slave.

"Ana, are you hurt?" He asked.

"No, my lord" I replied bowing my head. It was painful but the soup was not hot enough to leave a scar or burn on my skin.

"Make sure to apply cream so it doesnt leave a scar" He said before leaving the room alongsides Lisa.

This was surprising, what did it seem as if he still cared about me?

No, I was not going to allow this little gesture get into my head for all I know he could change the next minute.

I stood up from the ground and was about to leave when i heard Alpha Tyler's Voice, I put my ears close to the doors to hear what he was saying and to my surprise he was warning Lisa against bullying m, He had always been my protector from bullies and even after rejecting and turning me to a slave he still was. this little act melted my heart once more but knowing Lisa well she won't stop.

I has just finished cleaning up myself when Lisa sent for me, she was in the kitchen and i hastened my steps to avoid any troubles.

“Get me a crate of egg from the store,”She said as I entered the kitchen.

Immediately, I rushed to my feet and out of my door. My legs hurried to the store door and I pushed it open, walking in and taking out a crate. Then, I led my way to the door of the kitchen and when I walked in, there was no one in the space.

Where did she go?

I dropped the crate on the large table at the center of the large space and turned around to leave, but the door opened and she walked in, looking at me with hate that was obvious on her countenance.

“What took you so long, Ana?”

How could she say something like that?

“I—” I stuttered. “I didn't come late, my Lady. I came as soon as you gave the order.”

“Are you calling me a liar, Ana?” She wandered into the space and picked up the crate of eggs, throwing its contents on my body to the shock of my marrow.

“My lady!” I shouted, watching crumbs of eggshells fall to the floor. My hair was messy already and I was soiled with the yoke from each egg.

"Just so you know, this is just the beginning of your sufferings in this palace, when I am done with you, you will wish for death! Now clean this mess and get another crate!" She said before leaving me to sulk.

Why did I have to be treated in this manner? Even after Alpha Tyler warning few minuutes ago she still did this. But who would I complian to?No one. I had No one....

In the middle of the night, someone knocked on the door of my chamber. Immediately, I sat up on the bed, pondering who it could be. What if it was a theif? No on has knocked on my door this late before.

I jumped off, grabbed the jacket of my nightie, and put it on, looking at the clock on the wall before leading my way to the door. For the sake of my safety, I peeped out with aid from the hold built into the door.

Why was he here—?What wrong have I committed this time around?
