I confess I was curious about Spence. Brent usually said Spence was a great guy, but from time to time I sensed there was a certain amount of tension in their relationship. He’d admitted Spence was wonderful to Gale. I just sensed some kind of problem there. We certainly couldn’t complain about the hospitality. Gale and Spence spent the whole weekend showing us the high points of the Seattle area. The only meals we ate at their place were breakfasts. We had dinner Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings as well as lunch on Saturday and Sunday at wonderful restaurants. Tuscan, Thai, French, and Japanese, among others. And all very pricey.
