'Achoo!'
Tang Mei let out a sneeze , a frown formed on her lips
was someone talking about her behind her back ...
"Meimei ? " a voice sounded over the phone , the tune laced with worry
"Yeah " Tang Mei responded, pressing the phone against her ears as she got up from the bed and headed to the only window in the room
"Are you going to come ?" the speaker said , the time almost inaudible, containing a nasal sound , Tang Mei sighed
For the first time in a long while, Tang Mei was conflicted
on the one hand was her good friend Jiang Quinya who needed her and on the other was a quiet Saturday that she had planned to spend alone
" I'll be there" Tang Mei said , she could already see her quiet day waving her goodbye
"great" Jiang Quinya said, her tune a bit more cheerful than before
"I'll be there in an hour" Tang Mei said before hanging up the phone
she settled her gaze out of the window , the street was already lively, a sigh escaped her lips , judging from Jiang Quinya's tune , she knew it was going to be a while before she could return later on
" I'm such a good friend" Tang Mei praised herself lightly before heading to get dressed
After a while , Tang Mei got dressed in a knee length jean skirt, a black shirt paired with white canvas
Her shoulder length hair was packed in a high ponytail
Tang Mei grabbed her phone , took her bag and walked out of her apartment, closing the door behind her
Tang Mei stood by the side of the street, after standing for a while with finding a cab,Tang Meo grew annoyed
She wondered if Jiang Quinya would believe her if she called and told her that she sprained her ankle and couldn't make it
'Forget it , if Jiang Quinya was that easy to fool, then it would have been impossible to be friends with her ' Tang Mei thought
Tang Mei shut her eyes , utterly frustrated...maybe she should catch a train instead
but before she could materialize the thought, she felt a car stopping in front of her
"Thank goodness" she couldn't help but thank the heavens but in the next second when she opened her eyes , she felt like heaven was mocking her
A black car stopped in front of her , though she knew nothing about car brands and the likes , she didn't need a genius to tell her that the car in front of her was expensive
probably far within the reach of the Tang family....
she couldn't help but sigh
'it was good to be rich '
Tang shook her head slightly, the world was truly unfair, she was about to walk a distance away from the car when the car door opened
A man seemingly in his late twenties walked out , he was dressed ina black suit, his appearance was average, probably the type which could easily be lost in a crowd
he had a light smile on his face ...the type of smile that belonged to businessmen
Tang Mei raised her brow
She cautiously took two steps back , her lips pressed Ina straight line,her gaze vigilant
anyone would have the same reaction if encountered in such a situation
"Miss Tang , it's nice to meet you " the man said , catching Tang Mei off guard
He knew her name ....
Tang Mei didn't respond, she stared at him calmly with vigilance, carefully examining her surroundings
the street was slightly deserted...
Assistant Xu couldn't help but sigh , the way she looked at him made cold sweat trickle down his back
an occurrence that took him aback ,
the way she looked at him made him she the shadow of his boss in her
" miss Tang , my young master has requested your presence " Assistant Xu said, getting to the point
Tang Mei folded her hands over her chest , a frown on her face
"You expect me to follow you?"
she asked, though her tune was calm , assistant Xu had a feeling that she was referring to him as a complete fool
"Yes, miss Tang "
assistant Xu said , ignoring the mock ful expression on Tang Mei's face
between Tang Mei and Li Zucheng, he would rather face all the humiliation she could throw at him than return empty handed
"what if I say no " Tang Mei asked, a brow raised
"Then I am afraid I will have to result to other measures miss Tang " assistant Xu replied unhurried
he had expected such an outcome
After all, no one would willingly follow a stranger ...
Tang mei frowned, her eyes scanned the environment, she couldn't see any one within the area
almost as though everyone had disappeared
her eyes deepened, surely, he wasn't someone simple...
A couple of cars had stopped around the area, probably reinforcement
Tang Mei was certain that they weren't kidnappers
with her cheap appearance, who would try to kidnap her with such a car and with such tactics
though she knew that the possibility of them being kidnappers was zero, it didn't mean that she would follow them
"miss Tang , my young master doesn't like to wait " assistant Xu said, his tune stern , though he was secretly praying in his heart that she would follow him so he wouldn't have to result to other measures
Tang Mei pressed her lips in her straight line ,lost in thoughts
' why would his young master want to see her ?'
could it be....
Tang Mei dismissed the idea before it had a chance to materialize
those lowly group of dogs couldn't be so impressive
"pass a word to your young master" Tang Mei said , a half smile falling on her lips
"I don't follow people orders" her eyes cold , her demeanor made assistant Xu stiffen
For a moment, she was almost as frightening as his boss
Tang Mei didn't spare him a glance , preparing to walk away but before she could take three steps forward, four heavily built men clad in black suits and earpiece created a human wall in front of her
she raised her brow in question
" I'm afraid you'll have to comply miss Tang" assistant Xu said, sounding as cold as he could
Tang Mei threw a glance at him , making him suddenly loose his confidence
"please come with us " one of the men in front of her said
Tang mei 's fist tightened... going with them now would be a slap to her face
she couldn't help but feel frustrated
Tang Mei was aware of her capabilities, fighting all of them was out of the question, after all, thy looked like they were trained
she was no match for them
swallowing her ego , Tang Mei turned around, walked towards the black car and pulled the car door open
"If you're taking me to meet your young master, hurry up , I have things to do " she said sharply before taking a sit in the car and shutting the door
Assistant Xu stood rooted to his spot , his eyes full of disbelief
if one didn't know, they would think Tang Mei was the one incharge
assistant Xu looked toward the sky
'why was is it so hard being an assistant?'
A sigh escaped his lips before he walked towards the car , he opened the door, taking a seat in the passenger seat
before he could open his mouth and instruct the driver , Tang Mei's voice sounded from behind
"Drive"
her tune cold , as though in control
The driver silently glanced at the rearview mirror, then directed it at assistant Xu
Assistant Xu nodded, his eyes closed , pretending to be a salted fish[1]
what was the use ?...
the car drove off, speeding on the road, the other cars trailing behind it , looking impressive
Tang mei stared out the window
At least she didn't have to see Jiang Quinya so soon , but what exactly did this so called young master want to do with her
