Bad luck

"Mom di-didn't even let me explain!" I cried out. I was already crying since mom told me to leave. And i don't think I'm going to stop.

Nor, show my face at them, again.... I feel embarrassed... More than embarrassed! I already feel bored inside my room. "I'm bored!" I cried out and put the last 5 almonds in my mouth at the same time.

I was about to get my phone when someone knocked on my door. I sniffed and wiped my tears away before standing up and opening my door.

"Hanna?" I curiously said. What is she doing here? "Aster.... Your mother is looking for you." She said making me furrow my eyes brows. Mom? Why? Is she going to apologize!?

No. That's not going to happen, Aster.

"I don't know why, too. Just come with me." she said making me nod. Whatever it was I think it was important, too. I just threw the empty pack from the mixed nuts and followed Hanna.

I said to myself I wasn't going to show my face at them earlier, but here I am....

"Mo-mom?" I stuttered out when I finally saw mom and got the courage to speak. "Fix yourself. Help Hera and Lianne buy some groceries." Mom said plainly, clearly not sorry for what she did earlier.

But, mom knows I don't go outside without Xander... I thought she was going to apologize!?

Disappointment and the embarrassment from earlier filled my entire body again.

"You know I don't go out the gates, mom..." I muttered discouraged about what she just said.

"You go out always go out with, Xander. Stop being–"

"But, mom.... It was him...." I cut her off. It's not that i don't trust my friend's. But, I don't want to go outside without him anymore....

"Don't be ridiculous, Aster." Mom said without any hesitation, and continued. "Hera and Lianne is just like Xander, I thought they were also your friend?"

"They are mom.... but–" I paused and looked at the both of them they were already staring at me. "But what, Aster? Just go and–"

"But Xander can keep me safe...." I muttered. "I already said to stop being ridiculous, nothing will happen." Mom said with finality.

Nothing? Really mom!?

"I was about to get to an accident! And I'm was with you mom... You didn't even knew I wasn't at your side anymore! Good thing Xander appeared!"

"You were just unlucky–" I cut her off again. "How about the day when–"

"Just go, Astrid. Stop thinking about it." Mom said making me exhale heavily. But what if.... Xander's at work....

"Okay.... Let's go." I said disappointed and got out of the kitchen, Hera and Liane also followed.

We were finally I'm the car and it was silent but I decided to break it. "Uhm.... I didn't mean to say that, I just want mom to believe me. I'm sorry." I apologized when I remember what I said earlier that involved the two of them.

I do trust them. But not as much as Xander. We were already in teh busy streets of the city, and good thing they have a driver. We were just going to do the grocery thingy, pay, and leave.

That would be all. Nothing bad will happen.

"It was okay. We feel very sorry to you, too." Liane said making me smile. "Don't worry, Aster. Your mother was just stressed about work." Hera joined in.

"She's always like that. Thank you.... for accepting my apology. I really am scared going out our place."

"We all know, Aster. It's okay, I will promise you that nothing is going to get wrong."

We finally got off the car and was walking already walking to the store's entrance, because we were at the back where the car was park. It was my first time here, and the store was big! Just for groceries.

I was busy looking at the store when someone suddenly squeezed my neck tightly preventing me from getting away. "Gu-gun...." I managed to stuttered when I saw the gun being pointed at me, and made me still.

I started shaking, didn't knew what to do. "Please..." I begged, tears formed my eyes. "Drop the f*****g gun. Please, not her. " I heard someone plead, too. But the coldness of the voice....

I looked at the direction I heard the voice was. "Xa-xander.... Help...." I cried. Tears dropped freely from my eyes. "Your girlfriend? What a coincidence Mr. Billionaire."

"Don't you f*****g dare." Xander said full of authority. I couldn't care more because there was a gun pointing at my head! "Ple-please.... I wa-want to go..." I begged again, hoping that he might listen.

"You wish b***h. I'm not done with–"

"Drop the f*****g gun, I'm telling you, asshole. Can you see the police? f*****g scram!" After those words came out of Xander's mouth I was suddenly released.

I was shortening of breath. I need air....

"Breathed, Astrid. I'll explain everything later, Hmm? Breathe, take deep breathes. " He said I just nodded. Still crying form the shock.

"Get f*****g almond milk. Give her and calm her down." He said and with that, he started running. He just ran after a man with a gun!

I was indeed in a curse of bad luck! Mom was right! I cried even more.

"Aster? I'm sorry.... Come here. Let's get in-inside there's a wait-waiting area there. I'm sorry." A voice said in a panic. I couldn't care where I'm going anymore. I'm sure there's security there, and without any hesitation I nodded frantically.

"The al-almond milk Xander asked for...." Hera stuttered and gave me the cartoon of milk. I just accepted it without saying anything, still shahlen form what happened earlier.

"Go.... Go on. I'll.... I'll just wait here... I'm sorry."

"Are you okay, here? I'll just accompany you here, Liane can go buy the things." I shook my head. "I'm fine.... I bet it's a lot. I can stay here.... I'm sorry I can't help."

"You sure?" I nod and smiled at them while tears were still dropping down. I finally convinced them and they started doing what they need to.

We soon got to the mansion and i didn't spoke a word to anyone. I was still shaken and the word "Girlfriend" from the bad guy was still stucked to my head.

"Aster? You've been staring at the sink for more than minutes now. Are you really, okay? Last time you've been contemplating at the window, and almost everything in the kitchen."

Someone form behind me spoke. It was his mom. I turned around and smiled. "I'm okay, ma'am..." I lied. "I heard what happened to you, I'm very sorry. Don't worry, I'll be getting that man."

I nodded. "Just don't tire yourself. I bet Xander is going to be here any moment now. It's already dark."

"O-okay...." I stuttered. She just left and i helped Hera on getting thw dishes to the table. I was on the way to the dining room carrying a bowl of salad when I heard Xander's voice calling out my name.

"Astrid? Are you okay? I'm so, sorry for what happened earlier." He apologized making me smile. It wasn't his fault. I just turned spring to face him but froze when I saw his state.

"You.... You go-got shot!?"
