Chapter 12: Moving Forward
Jaxon woke up the next morning with the intent of continuing on from the night before. Only to find that Delilah had obviously had a change of heart. He found a note on the bed beside him, begging him to understand that she never meant to go that far and that she had taken advantage of a moment of weakness for the both of them.

Please understand how much I regret last night. I am so sorry that I took advantage of not only my own vulnerability but yours as well. I walked home, and I will be okay to continue work later this afternoon. I would request that we keep things professional from now on. I hope you can forgive me.
