WAR

Firewoods burned down in the furnace making crackling noises on a cold night. Wind blew gently making swooshing noises as it went by. On a silent night, the windows made clattering noises filling the room with anxiety. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of doom. A storm was on its way.

“Ughhhhhhh" Gabrielle screamed in pain during labour. The baby was proving stubborn, the midwives were getting scared. Surrounded by loyal were-bears who looked like they were waiting for trouble didn't help matters. Eerie had everyone in it's grasp.

Away from his wife and Kid, Lord Lionel had an obligation to pass on his Alpha powers to the next leader of the pack at a were-wolf shrine. Becoming the new alpha officially, Lord Evans let out an howl, an howl of war. It was time to deliver his end of the bargain to the hunters; the eradication of all bears. The wolves, hearing the howl, launched an assault against the bears which Mia's father; blinded by rage, responded aggressively to. An all-out war broke out.

Back at the shrine, Lord Evans ordered multitude of his strongest betas to kill Lord Leo while he made it his mission to end “arrogant" Gabrielle. Although he had lost his alpha abilities, Lionel still proved to be a formidable opponent. He killed all of Evans' betas and made his way towards his family.

Houses set on fire, the soil was soaked with blood, bodies scattered across the area. The sheer numbers of the wolves overpowered the quality of the bears. The tide of war was favouring the wolves. Through it all, a baby cry launched into the air. What a bad day for Brain to come.

In order to buy enough time for his family to make an escape, Leo led the rest of the bears into battle. The war grew bigger. It was total chaos.

From the human settlement, Briana and Harry snuck out and headed into the war zone. Getting home, Briana felt betrayed by her father. Although she had condemned everyone else's lives, meeting with corpses of children made her sick to her stomach. This was not the deal she had with her father but this was not the time to falter. She had come to warn her father about the impending arrival of the hunters right on their heels.

Leo alongside the loyal bears protecting Eric, Gabrielle and her new born baby were the last line of defence against Evans and his army. The war was reaching its penultimate and the bears' numbers were thinning.

“Save my babies" Gabrielle softly said to Braeden. They were losing the war and it was only a matter of time before the wolves came for them. Gabrielle gave a crystal ball to Braeden hoping it would lead her to the bears that escaped.

Blood dripped from his chest, his heart pulled out from the back, Lionel fell to his knees with a smile on his face. Lord Evans succeeded in killing Leo. Gabrielle was about to follow. There would be nobody in his way anymore.

“Swoosh" “swoosh", arrows flew by hitting multiple targets. The hunters launched an assault on the supernatural. Shrinked in size, the hyper-humans didn't pose much threat to the hunters. Although, they lost quite a large number of their force, the hunters were having the upper hand.

Handing over Brian to Briana, Braeden headed back into war to save Eric who had ran back to protect his mom. The war was lost. Lord Evans with his few betas retreated far away from their homes. It was truly the end of an era. Oaks ville became human only. Perhaps it was greed or insecurity, either way, the hunters succeeded in driving out the other major two components that made up the large community

“Mom's alive and only you can find her" Eric said to Brian as he walked out the door.
