The moment Jax agreed, the war truly began.
Adrian knew the weight of that decision. The second Jax stepped into this fight, he became a target. They all did. But waiting? Hiding? That was a slow death, and Adrian had never been one to sit still.
As they left the boxing gym, the air outside felt heavier, like the city itself knew something was shifting. Evelyne walked beside him, her expression unreadable, but he could feel her tension. This wasn’t just about revenge anymore—it was survival.
They needed more.
Jax was a start, but a fight against the Council required an army, and they had nothing but desperation and a handful of names scribbled on paper.
Jax lit a cigarette as they walked, exhaling a stream of smoke. “So, what’s the plan?”
