The city bank downtown had become a war zone.
Glass doors were shattered. Marble floors were cracked open. Security alarms screamed through the building, while terrified workers and customers crouched behind counters and overturned desks.
At the center of the chaos stood a group of powered thieves.
Not ordinary robbers.
These ones were dangerous.
One of them — a woman with black braided hair and glowing palms — swept her hands outward.
FWOOOSH!!
Fire burst across the lobby like a living wave, forcing security officers to dive behind pillars.
“Stay down!” she shouted with a laugh. “Unless you want to become roasted lunch!”
At the cash counter, another thief — a tall man with tattoos glowing green on his neck — slammed his fist on the desk.
“Put the money in the bags. All of it.”
The old cashier’s hands trembled as he stuffed bundles of cash into a large black sack.
“O-okay… okay…”
The thief leaned closer, glaring.
“Don’t get smart on me, old man. I said all of it.”
The cashier nodded so hard his glasses nearly fell off.
Near the entrance stood the third member of their gang, a heavy-built man whose hands created an invisible force field. The main doors shimmered with blue energy — no one could enter.
And no one could escape.
Once the last stack of money was packed away, the tattooed thief slung the bag over his shoulder.
He grinned at the terrified crowd.
“Thank you for your cooperation. Wow… you guys really keep a lot of money in here.”
He waved mockingly.
“See you when we see you.”
Then—
A calm voice echoed from the shattered entrance.
“That money doesn’t belong to you.”
The thieves froze.
Slowly, they turned.
Standing in the doorway were six figures.
Three girls.
Three boys.
All wearing sleek gold combat suits.
The glowing letter H shone proudly on each chest.
The crowd gasped.
Then cheers broke out.
“It’s the HEROES!”
“We’re saved!”
“Oh thank God!”
The thieves backed up.
The tattooed leader narrowed his eyes.
“Heroes…”
He spat the word like poison.
“You’re not taking our gains this time.”
The one standing at the center of the team stepped forward.
Broad shoulders. Calm face. Confident stance.
Miesner.
Leader of this squad.
He folded his arms.
“And what makes you think you’re leaving this building with those bags?”
The female thief smirked, flames dancing across her fingers.
“We’re a hundred percent positive.”
One of Miesner’s teammates stepped beside him.
A sharp-eyed girl with dark braided hair tied into a high ponytail.
Felicia.
She cracked her knuckles.
“You calculated wrong.”
She pointed toward the money bag.
“You’re not leaving with that.”
Then she smiled coldly.
“In fact… you’re not leaving at all.”
The tattooed thief growled.
“Enough talking!”
He thrust both hands forward.
BOOOOM!!
A violent blast of green energy shot across the bank.
Before it could hit—
A girl from the Heroes team rushed forward.
Selina.
She slammed her palm into the floor.
A glowing silver shield rose instantly in front of the six.
The blast smashed into it with a thunderous impact.
The walls shook.
But the shield held.
Selina smirked.
“That all?”
The fire-wielding thief screamed and launched a stream of flames toward them.
Felicia stepped out from behind the shield.
She raised one hand.
The flames bent.
As if caught in an invisible storm, they twisted backward.
WHOOSH!!
The fire scattered harmlessly into the ceiling sprinklers.
Then Felicia flicked her wrist.
A gust of wind slammed into the thief like a truck.
She crashed across the floor and hit a broken ATM.
Miesner moved next.
Fast.
The tattooed leader barely had time to react before—
THUD!!
Miesner punched him square in the chest.
The force lifted the man off the ground and sent him flying through a customer desk.
Miesner dusted his gloves.
“Round them up.”
He turned to his team.
“We’re taking them to prison.”
The remaining thieves groaned as they pushed themselves up.
The leader glared with rage.
Then suddenly—
He laughed.
Miesner frowned.
“What’s funny?”
The thief raised both hands.
Fire erupted around him.
The other two thieves did the same.
They were about to attack again.
But before anyone moved—
A violent burst of purple energy mixed with wind tore through the bank.
SHRAAAAAK!!
The three thieves were lifted into the air.
Their screams lasted only a second.
Then—
They burned.
Turned to ash.
And collapsed into nothing.
Silence.
Everyone in the bank froze.
The first Heroes team stared in shock.
A new group stood in the ruined entrance.
Five figures.
Two girls.
Three boys.
Their gold uniforms were darker, trimmed with black.
Their aura was different.
More dangerous.
This was another branch of HEROES.
The feared unit.
The Tribrids.
Notorious for completing missions… no matter the collateral damage.
At the front stood a young man with calm grey eyes and a smug expression.
Enoch.
Leader of the Tribrids.
Beside him stood the girl who had unleashed the attack.
Long black hair. Cold expression.
Purple energy still crackled around her hands.
Theresa.
She smirked.
Enoch clapped slowly.
“Good one, Theresa.”
Theresa gave a lazy shrug.
“They were annoying me.”
Miesner stepped forward, furious.
He looked at the ashes on the floor.
Then at Enoch.
“What are you doing here?”
Enoch raised an eyebrow.
“Working.”
Miesner’s jaw tightened.
“No. You killed them.”
He pointed at the ashes.
“They were supposed to be arrested.”
“That was our order.”
Enoch sighed dramatically like he was bored.
“That was your order.”
He glanced back at his team.
“And as you know… we don’t work in the same division.”
Then he turned to one of his teammates.
A calm girl with straight dark hair and unreadable eyes.
Mia.
One of the most feared Tribrids.
Her three powers made her nearly impossible to fight:
Mind control
Teleportation
Energy blasts
Enoch smiled at her.
“What was our mission again?”
Mia answered without emotion.
“Locate the thieves.”
She tilted her head slightly.
“Give them no chance to retaliate.”
Then she looked at the ashes.
“Terminate them.”
Enoch spread his arms.
“There you go.”
Miesner’s whole team stood silent — angry but powerless to challenge them.
Enoch stepped closer, lowering his voice.
“But hey…”
He glanced at the terrified civilians.
“Look on the bright side.”
He smiled.
“We saved your lives.”
Then he looked back at Miesner.
“And saved these people from being robbed by the same idiots again.”
He gave a mock salute.
“Farewell, Miesner.”
He turned.
“Mia?”
Mia nodded.
“Got it.”
The Tribrids stepped close together and placed a hand on Mia’s shoulder.
She raised one hand.
Purple light spiraled around them.
Then—
POOF!!
They vanished.
Gone.
The bank remained silent.
Only the ashes of the thieves remained on the floor.
Miesner clenched his fists.
Selina stepped beside him.
“I hate them.”
Felicia crossed her arms.
“They’re getting worse.”
Miesner stared at where Enoch had stood.
His expression darkened.
“No.”
He said quietly.
“They’re planning something.”
